Trattoria Emilia is an authentic Italian restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and fresh pasta. Head chefs Francesco Rota and Luca Flammia hail from Modena in Emilia Romagna.

At Trattoria Emilia we seasonally change the menu and source a large majority of our produce from regional Victoria, our meat is organic and sustainably grown in Tasmania and Victoria and we import some of the best Italian DOC products. Some dishes that are not to be missed are our Tortelloni Emiliani and the crowd favourite salumi misti with gnocco fritto and tigelle served with mortadella mousse.

Rustic, yet refined, Trattoria Emilia boasts fantastic ambience, attentive and professional service whilst all the while remaining a great casual dining spot perfect for a quick lunch, a long relaxing dinner with friends and has always been a romantic date spot.

    No where in the booking conditions was it stipulated that the restaurant closes (expects plates to be served) by 3.00pm. We booked for 2.30pm and were told upon ordering that we couldn’t do the tasting menu and needed to vacate by 3.00pm, as the kitchen was closed. We ordered starters and mains, had a delay to our mains, as the staff stopped working at 3.00pm. Food was great, as usual, but service was beyond disappointing as you’re paying for the food and the ambience. Suggest if the kitchen closes at 3.00pm, the restaurant stops reservations at 1.30pm to accommodate.

    What a great almost hidden gem. For dinner you have choice of 3 or 5 courses. The 3 course option was still way too much for for us but it was soooo delicious . Drinks were really reasonably priced. I would prefer a 2 course option if at all possible but will be back when more hungry! Ps we don't usually eat much so probably perfect for most people

    Beautiful restaurant! Probably the best italian restaurant in the city. Food and Drinks menu's were great and the service was fantastic. We had such a lovely time and will definitely be back.

    Authentic Italian food, I had the slow cook lamb, my son the steak and husband pasta all meals perfect we finished our meal with a beautiful dessert definitely be back when we visit Melbourne again
