   Today we visited Truluck’s as a wedding anniversary celebration. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The only negative was the loud music that was being played. For one thing, the volume was too loud. We also didn’t like the kind of loud music that was being played. Truluck’s is supposed to be an elegant restaurant, not a disco dance joint. What a shame! It goes without saying that an elegant restaurant should play classy, elegant, tasteful music. It detracts from the ambience and atmosphere when good music is not played. This restaurant needs to take some lessons about music from Chez Zee Restaurant, which always plays BEAUTIFUL live jazz or live classical music.

   I take my sons once a month to experience fine dining. To learn proper etiquette and develop their palate. As a single parent I want to broaden their perspective and share as many experiences as possible with them. I have high expectations of Trulucks and they did not disappoint. The service was great, the food perfect and the atmosphere exactly what I had in mind. There were a couple of small issues, which I felt comfortable to tactfully address and the staff resolved promptly. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was the type my sons will remember and hopefully one day share with someone they love. Happy New Year!

   Our first time eating at Truluck's. It was a fixed menu and possibly not the experience that we would have at a different time. Oysters, stone crab, filet and lobster tails scampi which my wife really enjoyed. Perhaps we'll try another time.

   Terrific as always and -- get this -- really relaxing, even on New Year's Eve. We'll be back -- One question: since OT sent and email asking me to submit a review, why do I have to verify my identity? If that keeps up I will probably stop submitting reviews.

   As our server approached she advised that there was a set menu and price per person for dining. We were unaware when reservation was made. As a food runner came to drop our salads he inadvertently shared that this was not true, we could order ala cart. Our server and another overheard this and quickly tried to hush him. We requested to move to a la cart as we did not want the desserts so our server repaid us by ignoring us for the rest of the dining experience. The food was over salted and although we have spent more special occasions at his restaurant than we can count, this experience has ended our chances in ever visiting a Trulucks again. Deception is a terrible business practice.
