The award-winning Uchi, which translated from Japanese means “home,” was first opened in Austin, Texas by James Beard Award winner Chef Tyson Cole. Since then, Cole’s signature non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine has been warmly received by visitors from across the country and around the globe. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

    My husband took me for my birthday 2/10 and we got omakase dinner! Everything was phenomenal and just as great quality fish as what we tried in Japan! Pricey but worth it for a special occasion ❤️✨🥂

    We’ve been several times and something was amiss this time. Usually everything is fantastic, but this last time the food was just okay, the beer wasn’t very cold, server wasn’t very friendly, etc. For the cost I definitely expect better.

    We had Seth as our sushi chef at the counter and he was great. Food was delicious with exceptional service. Only challenge was the noise level as it was hard to hear.

    The night we were there there was an alarm going off throughout our experience. The staff was very present made up for the noise.

    The food is excellent! We had omakase, and the variety was great. The ambiance was just meh—too noisy, and there were too many staff just hanging around in the corner. Price-wise, it was not great, but it was not bad. We had a similar great omakase at a lower price. But,... this is Denver, and I think you pay for the name. The valet guy is awesome—polite, kind, and friendly, and they worked in the snowy weather.
