One of the best dinners in my life! Went there for our anniversary and had the 18 course menu and sake pairings. Everything we ate or drank was fantastic. The entire staff were great and attentive. For example the chef noticed I was left handed and always placed my sushi so that I could grab with my left hand. Small detail to some, but it shows how much they care.

They tried a little too hard. The food lost the simplicity I enjoy in sushi.

We frequently visit Umami Omakase which accommodates a maximum of 28 diners at a sushi bar and tables. The well paced meal (either fifteen or eighteen courses) consists of traditional and highly inventive offerings, of soup; sashimi, assorted sushi and hand rolls based almost exclusively on a seasonal variety of Japanese (with a few local) fish including Toro and caviar, as well as foie gras, truffle, and Wagyu beef, and ends with an imaginative dessert. The chef and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and freely engage with customers at the sushi bar. Always a pleasurable meal.

It was our first time trying Omakase and we greatly enjoyed the experience! The service was very entertaining but not overwhelming; it was well balanced. We loved the food they served and for the money we paid, it was well worth it. Everyone was so pleasant and very knowledgeable of every dish they served us. We will definitely be back!

This is the second time I've dined at Umami Omakase. They're expensive, so I don't often have the opportunity, but they are well worth it. Service was exemplary, and they easily accommodated my allergies. Every dish was a single, perfect bite. And yes, despite the tiny portions for each dish, 18 courses was definitely enough food to leave me comfortably full.
