Up Cellar is a modern steakhouse, wine bar and cocktail lounge offering an elevated dining experience.

Our culinary team is committed to sourcing as locally as possible, highlighting the very best purveyors and farms in our regional. The dinner menu features dry-aged and American waygu steak, seafood and select proteins from Indiana farms.

The thoughtfully curated wine menu features a choice selection of new world and old world wines. The by the glass wine offerings rotate frequently and the bottle list offers exceptional value. Our award winning mixology team offers an innovative and inspiring selection of seasonal cocktails.

Up Cellar is reserved for patrons 21+. Dinner is served from 5pm to 10pm with last seating at 9:30pm. Reservations for dinner are highly recommended. An intimate rooftop patio is available weather permitting by request. Up Cellar is located on the 2nd floor and accessible only by stairs.

Nicole Krill, Regional Sales Director, will be joining us from Oregon to share insights into this renowned wine region, known for producing some of the best Pinot Noirs in the USA. This event features a meticulously crafted five-course meal, highlighting the versatility and elegance of Pinot Noir. At the end of the evening, guests will have the opportunity to purchase these highly rated wines at wholesale prices. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Gratuity is included in the purchase of a ticket, so no payment is due at the end of the event.

    Delicious food, great ambience, and knowledgeable staff, you can’t go wrong with Up Cellar. The crab cake appetizer is amazing. It’s full of crab without a bunch of breading filler. The oyster appetizer is also fantastic, with great flavor and very fresh. The Wagyu Gold Denver Cut steak has phenomenal flavor and they cook it perfectly (medium rare) to bring out the best flavor and tenderness. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Up Cellar.

    Second time visiting Up Cellar for dinner. Overall experience for party of four was enjoyable. One of the guests was disappointed in the sea bass entree. Said it was very fishy tasting. She had the same dinner the first time we dined there and did not have that experience. Ian was our server and did a fantastic job.

    The dining area is satisfactory lit but not too much, it’s quiet and welcoming. Service was excellent and attentive to details. The old fashioned I had was great, had to have 2 just to make sure. The duck was prepared nicely and paired well with the sweet potato puree and Brussel sprouts. Will dine again for sure.

    My wife and I I only go out to a fancy restaurant once or twice a year. We were excited to go to Up Cellar for the first time because it is closer to us on the South Side. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the mood and ambiance were perfect, and our server, Taylor, was fantastic! She provided very helpful insight on the menu, was attentive but also gave us time between each course to enjoy our date night, and really helped make the evening special. We had the deviled eggs trio, French onion soup, Denver wagyu steak, duck breast, and bask cheese cake. The eggs and soup were AMAZING! We had never had either wagyu or duck before, and Taylor helped recommend the temperature of the duck for my first time. She suggested Medium, which was a great call. It was very good. Obviously , the wagyu steak was delicious as well. Unlike any steak we’ve ever had. Just melted in your mouth with so much flavor. She helped us decide on the cheesecake for dessert, which was the best choice for the end of that meal. We each had a couple of glasses of wine, and I had the Dark & Smokey cocktail after dinner, which was incredible. Plus, since we were celebrating a late Valentines Day, and my wife’s new job, we each got a complementary glass of champagne! We cannot recommend Up Cellar highly enough! Thanks to everyone there that helped make our night special.

    Everything about the restaurant was fantastic! Our waitress Lexi was amazing and so was the food and drinks! I highly recommend any and everybody to go there.

    Service is always wonderful, food for the prefixed meal wasn’t the same standard i think you will see on a regular night, but we will try again for sure.

    The food, while quite good was a bit simple for the price point. The drinks were excellent. The atmosphere is comfortable but lacks uniqueness. Small details were amiss. The hostess bolted up the stairs. Food for every course arrived well before the drinks, and in the case of the entree, the food was finished before the drinks even arrived. Would expect a cloth napkin at these prices. A visit here will leave you full and happy, but not necessarily wowed.

    We ate here on Valentine’s Day. Have been here before. Valentine menu was preset with some choices for a set price of $150 for 2 people. A 5oz glass of wine was going to cost $16, so ordered a bottle of wine for $58 as this seemed to be a better value. Also ordered one Valentine special Prosecco drink for $13 and one smoked Old Fashioned for $18. My husband ordered a Wagyu steak. Flavor was good, but sliced very thin. Came with mashed potato, but no vegetable. I ordered the Maine Scallop meal with linguine. The three scallops were medium size. Crab cake appetizer was large & very good. Dessert also good. Was surprised by the 20% “Valentine” surcharge automatically added to our bill. Was this supposed to be the tip?? Prefer to do our own tipping. We had a very good waitress, so tipped her another $40 cash to make sure she got a tip. By the time we left the restaurant, we had spent $300. Food and service good, but did not feel the value was worth what we paid for it. Will be back as we like the restaurant, but prefer to order off the menu and pay our own tip.
