   We are locals. This was our 1st time back since new owners. The service was great, our waiter was personable, his name was John. Ask for him. The menu offered us things we liked. I chose salmon and my husband chose Smash burgers. The sweet potato and brussel sprouts combination was delicious, highly recommend. We like how they no longer offer tastings but sell flights, it is more profitable for them. Overall a nice afternoon.

   We always go to Upper Shirley winery the day before Thanksgiving. The people are always friendly and very accommodating and the food is always good. On a nice day it's great to sit on the huge porch out back or on the lawn.

   Was disappointed in the Mushroom appetizer. For the price we were expecting more tasty toppings, but it was to runny. For $15 expected more than just small medium size 🍄.

   Visited USV for Sunday brunch with friends. Service (by Hanna) was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive, the food was excellent, well-prepared, and plentiful! The "Shareables" are abundant, and quite substantial. Two orders was more than enough for 3. The charcuterie board was evenly divided between savory, thin sliced meats and cheeses; the warm crab dip is lucious and tasty. The wine is very refined and pairs nicely with the selections. No matter the time of year, a walk around the property and to the river is always a treat! USV is well managed, incredibly well maintained, and casual, but elegant.

    Lovely afternoon with friends at Upper Shirley. Kind and attentive staff, yummy lunch, and generous pours. Our table especially enjoyed the Petit Verdot and Viognier. Will definitely be back!
