   Been there a few times. Not sure if we will again. The house margarita is good. Lots of ice, though. The tacos were OK. The side of Rice & Beans was $8 but the portions were small and the rice not very good. Are they subject to tariffs? Service was EXTREMELY Sloooooow. Our server did not even acknowledge our comment about the rice. They did not have a few menu items when we asked (IPA beer and oysters. The best part of the food was the Poke Tower.

   I’ve never left behind a bowl of guacamole but theirs was mostly tomatoes and had zero lime, salt or pepper. You really need to be competitive if you are serving Mexican food in the SD area. And, there was no one at are table “wowed” by anything ordered. Sadly, not impressed.

   This restaurant can get very, very cold because of the open window at the bar area. The kind and amiable bartender eventually closed the window roll-up and our experience got a whole lot better. Although our food was delicious and our drinks very refreshing, we did have to wait a long time to get our check as well.

   They charge for chips and salsa which is disappointing. Most food was ok at best. A few dishes were really enjoyed such as the guacamole, and the fish taco. The queso birria was good, but the value wasn’t great for the price.

   I made reservations for two on Valentine’s Day evening. We started at the bar then moved to our table, which was unfortunately directly next to the kitchen door. While the table was setup, we waited about 15 minutes and had to ask for service. We ordered ceviche and then waited again, no service. The restaurant was busy but everyone seemed to be getting service but us. It was very disorganized and while the food was alright, I wouldn’t go back. They apologized, but service never changed.

   I have eaten at Urbana multiple times and have had some very good meals. This time my food was lukewarm and my companion's food was cool, despite both of us having plates that were hot. Go figure! The service was excellent, however.
