   Food was excellent. Service was slow. They gave us a dessert because we were celebrating a birthday. But when we got the check they had charged us for it. When I questioned it the server immediately produced a corrected copy. It almost seemed as though they were trying to put it through if I hadn’t reviewed the check. Not sure if this is a common practice. Kind of disappointing.

   The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were a couple minutes late to our reservation and we didn’t feel rushed at all. The ambiance was very pleasant. The lights could be a little dimmer to create a more relaxed environment in my opinion. But the noise level and decor was very classy without being intimidating as a first timer. The menu has great choices and reasonably priced items. Our food took about 10 minutes to come out (felt like 5). We ordered the 12oz filet (9/10) and steak fries (8/10). We were in and out of the restaurant in 45 minutes and did not feel rushed at all. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return soon.

   As a long time N.O. Resident and a frequent steak lover and eater, Vacca is now my go to steak place…. Flavor, seasoning and taste is off the charts…..If you love a good steak and you’ve been to N.O. Other steak houses Vacca is a must ……

    We we’re excited about trying out Vacca, our expectations were pretty high. We ordered a ribeye, burger and wedge salad. Unfortunately the meat in the burger and steak were so overly salted it was hard to enjoy the meal. Other than that it was good service and place. But based on the level of dining and place we expected a lot more.
