Vespaio Restaurant is one of the original South Congress eateries and remains one of Austin's favorite Italian go-to's among locals and visitors. This casual dinner venue is a popular choice for date nights or evenings out with friends, seating every day at 5pm. The interior of Vespaio Restaurant is decorated with ceiling tiles, ceiling plans, vintage pendant lighting, classic table seating, a plethora of wine racks and vibrant accent walls.In addition to a full bar menu, Vespaio Restaurant offers a lengthy selection of mouth-watering and flavorful authentic Italian dishes. Menu items include carpaccio, mixed seafood stew, lasagna, mussels, calamari, spaghetti carbonara, chocolate hazelnut cake, panna cotta and green pasta with shrimp.     Another fantastic meal at Vespaio. Food was expertly prepared, service was attentive and well informed and ambiance impeccable. Almost 30 years on, still one of Austin’s finest restaurants.

    This is our third time to visit and it was 5 stars like the others. Rose was our waitress and can say she was probably top 5 for all of the restaurants I’ve ever visited in the last 30 years!

    Vespaio was really enjoyable!!! Ricky was a great server, excellent recommendations. Water was filled constantly which I really appreciate.

    Service was stupendous! Our dishes were very savory and rich. Pasta dishes were above average in price based on the portions. We still favor Intero for amazing Italian food with comparable pricing for all their farm to table dishes.

    Highly recommend Vespaio. The food was delicious, one of the better Italian meals I have had anywhere outside of Italy. The staff was great, friendly and provided outstanding service. The drinks were well crafted and tasty. It was a lively, enjoyable atmosphere on Christmas Eve. When in Austin again, we will definitely be back to eat here. You should too.
