   Great venue to go out and get dressed up with friends. Good service and the food was delicious, but it’s well overpriced. I don’t mind spending the money but I just don’t believe I should be paying London pricing in Hertford.

   I love the atmosphere and decor in Veyso’s but unfortunately the service was really poor. We went early and there were only a hand full of other people in the restaurant. I ordered Seabass which my menu said came with risotto, when it arrived there was no risotto only chips. We had to ask two different servers where the risotto was only to be told it didn’t come with risotto but was being served with chips. The server then brought a different menu over that had a label over risotto so it was replaced with the word “chips” our server hadn’t pointed this out when I placed my order using a menu that hadn’t been adapted, however she didn’t apologise for the confusion. We also ordered a side which we didn’t get but was charged on our bill. The service charge was also added at 12.5% which I felt after our experience should have been removed as a good will gesture. I won’t be rushing back unfortunately.

   Elegant Restaurant with Impeccable Service I recently arranged a surprise event for a friend with a party of 14 on a weeknight. I called the restaurant a few times in the lead up to the meal to arrange pre-orders and venue setup to maximize the likelihood of surprise. It was very easy to reach the restaurant by phone and email, and the staff were very polite. On the night of the event, the restaurant managed to hide my party really well despite being directly in front of the entrance using an elegant wooden panel partition. The restaurant itself had a very stylish and elegant ambience but this was such a thoughtful touch. My friend was very pleasantly surprised. The food was nothing short of phenomenal — each dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented and served in generous portions. There were a variety of orders including lamb chops, sea bass and the shish options, but they were all served simultaneously and in a timely fashion. I had the lamb chops which were perfectly cooked and accompanied by the tastiest salads. Looking around the table, everyone really enjoyed their meals and everyone's plates were emptied. The desserts equally impressed as they were as delicious as they were stunning. Our main server, Ilhan, added a special touch of sparklers to our friend's dessert that we sang happy birthday along to for fun, even though it wasn't his birthday! Having been to the restaurant before, I knew the service would be of high standard and they didn't fail to uphold this even for a much bigger group. All the staff were very friendly and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A huge thank you to Ilhan, our main server, who ensured everything went smoothly for a memorable and fun-filled evening. If you're looking for a place that combines exquisite dishes with exceptional service in Hertford, I 100% recommend Veysos. I will definitely be returning in the future.

   Our experience at Veyso's was first rate - good in all respects - food, service, ambience. As a partially deaf OAP I struggled a little with the noise level from the background music although it wasn't loud. Minor issue.

   The ambience is classy and the food delicious. However, we waited quite a long time before being given the drinks menu on arrival, and our waitress was not vey welcoming or smiley. The singer however was brilliant and we had a great evening overall.

   One of the few places open on a Monday, we enjoyed the set lunch, 2 courses for £14.90/head. The service was mostly great and the food good. Great value. We shall probably return.

    Have been to Veysos a few times, but not for a while. I’m so glad we did as the food was amazing, definitely won’t leave it as long next time.
