   The pan seared swordfish I ordered had no crust. It was tough and lacked favor. I ordered for the table. Not sure if I’d order that dish again.

   I’ve only heard rave reviews about this restaurant. Today we were the first to arrive (6 minutes early-as we were told) but were seated before our 4:30 reservation. Our waiter was very informative and we ordered lobster bisque & corn chowder as a starter. No one in the restaurant and both soups arrived lukewarm to cold. My husband sent his back-I wish I sent the lobster bisque back too. Both were flavorful but cold. Delicious bread & butter, now on to our entree. We ordered the surf & turf and swordfish (special of the day). The 4 shrimp with the steak were so salty-I ate one. The steak was thin and over seasoned as well. My husband’s swordfish smelled so strong-I asked him how it tasted. He worried the rest of the evening if it would make him sick. Not sure if the restaurant was closed for 2 days? We were the only folks there because it was early…other folks arrived as we were leaving but freshness & temperature of the meal should not have been a factor. We left disappointed-maybe something else was going on? This was not the dining experience I was expecting-we made the decision to dine there via recommendations from many friends. Hopefully you will have a better experience.

   Great service and the food was on point! The steaks were cooked to perfection and it was the best calamari I have had in Charleston! After some recent disappointments with other restaurants downtown, we were so pleased with Victor's service and delicious food! We will be back soon!!

   Waitress was great, ambience was nice. We were only ones in the restaurants at prime time hour which was odd as places next door we packed. The mashed potatoes were cold. The steak (filet) was tough and lacked flavor. The asparagus was quite good. The price was on the high end, so as far as value I'd rate it a 0 if I could.

   Victor's steak and seafood was good my son steak was overdone though, and it was chilly in there, and the service was a little slow with all the people

   Service was excellent (thank you, Allison). Very knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we always had what we needed. Love the ambiance. Beautiful, old, charming space located off the beaten path. Check out this place for a good meal that won't break the bank.

   Late afternoon reservation to be able to attend a downtown concert. Sparce crowd but it was expected for a weekday. Service was fabulous and the food was even better. Our first time dining there but will not be the last. You will not go wrong with the filet, and, by the way, the mashed potatoes were fabulous.

   We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Victor’s. My mother-in-law is hard of hearing so a lot of times dining out isn’t enjoyable for her as the noise level of the restaurant is either too much for her to talk over or it overwhelms her hearing aids. However, this was not an issue at Victor’s. The environment was elegant and very lovely. And the food was delicious too. Thank you!

    Walked into Victor’s promptly at 5pm for my reservation was for that time and was stricken by the beauty of the interior of the place which was a far cry from its humble entrance on Hudson Alley. I was not immediately greeted, in fact I waited about 5 minutes for the Maitre’d to noice me presence. Our party of 5 was seated in a nicely appointed leather cushion booth which was circular - ideal for us because it reduced the chance of acquiring whiplash during conversation. Peyton - our server - was superb! She was attentive without being intrusive, and offered excellent menu suggestions. She was a bright spot in that experience so if you are lucky enough to have her as your server, you can rest assured your experience will be a fabulous one! Around the table was a strong desire for beef as 4/5 ordered steak/prime rib. Tender, juicy and flavorful were the consistent accolades offered regarding our mains, with a healthy portion of vegetables and starch with each. I’ll admit as will most at the table that my steak was prepared just as requested, medium rare. However the Filet ordered by one of our party was ordered prepared at the same temperature but was served medium well to well depending on from which is one ate from (left or right). The individual chose not to send back her filet since we were on a schedule. Regarding the ambience, there were a few screams of joy and howls of laughter eminating from the balcony dining area which were slightly obnoxious considering the caliber of the restaurant, but then not everyone has had training in proper dining etiquette. All considered, I will likely return for another meal, hoping all the while Peyton will be available to serve!
