   Service was very slow. Carimari was undercooked. Extended wait for meal. Overall very poor experience.

   Overpriced, underportioned and underdelivered. This was me giving a third chance to this establishment because my partner and my child did not want to travel to eat fancy. Server was good. They forgot our food. Portions were small compared to high price restaurants in 200 mile area. Market price for steak was reasonable. Steak was overcooked and fatty even for a ribeye. Mushroom pasta was an vinegar flavored mac-n-cheese. 2 corporate meals and 1 family meals, 2000usd later, I am simply disappointed. Gladly will recommend more worthy places.

   Every few years we give this restaurant a shot hoping it's gotten better. It hasn't. I made a reservation a week in advance for four. We were led to a crappy table across from the kitchen and right next to a partial wall that separated the restaurant portion from (I guess?) a group area. The table was too big for our group and had leaves that we folded down so we could get closer to one another. The leaves were so hard to get down because they were literally crusted shut. The table was disgusting. I don't even know if they are using wax polish to clean it or what, but it clearly hadn't been cleaned properly for a loooonnnnnggg time and there was some weird film on it. My silverware was dirty. It was just gross. For an allegedly "upscale" restaurant it felt dirty and rundown. The food was okay. Our friends had prime rib which they enjoyed; my husband and I got pizzas which were just okay. I will say our server Sarah was super awesome and great. As we left I told my husband to remind me how bad it was next time I mention we should try it again. So disappointing. Will NOT be coming back.

   Took my girlfriend to View 202 and it was excellent! Peter was awesome and friendly. We had salmon and prime rib and both were very good!

   I can’t give a really adequate review for View 202 because when we got there we had been on the road for over 10 hours and we were too exhausted to try the delicious sounding entrees •• we just had pizza and cocktails (both were great) but they had several menu items that sounded delicious that I would be reviewing under normal circumstances-The Service was Excellent,Margaritas scrumptious and the Pizza toppings (fig & pig•pep&pep)Outstanding • We will definitely try it again next time we’re in Redding and I can review their entrees 👍🏻Our experience was great and I would recommend giving it a try but I really want to try their Smoked Prime Rib next time 😋

   The “truffle” steak did not have truffles or taste like truffles whatsoever. Although it was priced for truffles. Otherwise, would return and recommend.

   So our reservation was for 6 pm and my wife and I got there a little early, so decided to ask if we could get a drink at the bar. And we were told our table would be ready in a minute, so I stated that was fine we would like to get a drink at the bar she then said ok, but after having a couple drinks 30 minutes later they came to us and said our table was ready. While sitting we order calamari for a Appetizer and are asked if we new what we were going to have for dinner when I just ordered the appetizer, so we ordered our food also at that time. We never seen our waitress the entire time we were there other people brought our food no refill on the water pitcher I had to beg another employee to fill the water and when the appetizer came out, it was like chewing rubber bands. At that point I knew my fish that I ordered for dinner wasn't going to be good, and yep it was horrible so long story short I will not be back. Oh and everyone else got bread so I asked the girl at the end of my untouched meal and appetizer how you get bread, she said we were supposed to ask for it. I looked at her and said ask who we haven't seen anyone for a hour and a half, so she did bring us bread and that was the best part of the meal

    while we will willingly pay for an experience, there is no value here. the staff are so kind, but it is severely understaffed during daytime hours, that it leaves long wait times for everything. additionally, the price for an eggs benedict is $18 + $2 if you are gluten free. literally, it’s $10 per benedict with no sides included. I know the cost of eggs is high, but this is a stretch. we’ve dined here for many years, and I just keep forgetting that it just isn’t worth it. if you want to splurge for a nice evening out, there is more staff in the evening with a better menu, but you’d best be ready to pay for it.
