Discover the bold, terroir-driven wines of Spanish Owner/Winemaker, Jordi Masdeu Català! Next Tuesday 2/25 at 6pm, Jordi is joining us at Vin Rouge Wine Bar and sharing 4 wines from 2 of his projects. Jordi crafts expressive, terroir-driven wines that showcase the depth of Spanish viticulture. We will sample his vibrant L’Atzar Cava that sparkles with crisp citrus and fine bubbles during the meet and greet. Then you’ll be invited to sit down for a Q+A while you enjoy his Mas La Mola Trepat that delights with its fresh red fruit and elegant spice, Expressió Priorat that is bold and complex, layered with dark fruit, mineral depth, and silky tannins, and Vi d’Altura that captures the purity of high-altitude vineyards, offering bright acidity, floral aromatics, and refined structure. Each bottle tells a story of place, passion, and precision. As always this Tasting with the Expert experience will include a cheese pairing from our friends at St.Kilian’s too, all for only $50pp. And in case you didn’t already know, on the event night only, we will offer 30% off all glasses and bottles of Jordi’s wine, with limited availability of autographed options! We love Vin Rouge and come often. Jenn is such an amazing hostess! She makes you feel at home. The links to descriptions of wines are really helpful, but Jenn can also guide you. I’ve found some amazing wines through her recommendations. She sources from local shops for her charcuterie and cheese boards when she can. This is a true gem in our neighborhood!

What a pleasant surprise! Well curated list and menu. A few new wines for me. Loved the flight. Plenty to learn for enthusiasts, but very accessible for those that are not. Good quieter atmosphere. Beautiful wine glasses and feta olive snack top notch. Bartender managing a lot on her own there

Such a gem of a spot. There aren’t many spots left that the owner is there day in and day out. Jen took great care of us, and we can’t wait to go back.

We have been to Vin Rouge many times. Jen has introduced us to new varietals and always has great recommendations. The charcuterie board is delicious and support local businesses, including some that are women-owned. This is a wonderful space. Highly recommend!

You’ll not find a more educated and active listener in the owner of this wine bar. She listens to what you like, asks driving questions and will help you find the best glass of wine at a price less than downtown with higher quality. Aside from that, she’s a real person. Doesn’t wear a mask and you feel like your hanging out with an old friend enjoying an amazing glass of wine.

Jenn does an amazing job with the winemaker experience tastings - tonight’s wines were all so elegant and delicious and paired so well with the cheese plate. Cannot wait for the next one!
