Virtue Feed & Grain is a modern American dining room and bar located near the Potomac River in Old Town, Alexandria. Our menu offers an array of original recipe, flavorful, scratch-made dishes, along with extensive selections from the bar, like handcrafted cocktails, craft and small-batch beers, and an impressive wine list. The rustic elegance of our large, two-story restaurant provides a vibrant atmosphere for any dining experience, as well as private and semi-private spaces for private events, celebrations, weddings, business meetings, and gatherings of all types. The seasonal outdoor patio on historic Wales Alley offers views to the Potomac and a fun, casual destination.**

*Unfortunately we do not take advance reservations on our outdoor patio, but we will do our best to accommodate requests as space is available.

    Always a fan and love love love Virtue! I had made a reservation and after sitting at the table for 45 minutes it was suggested we were on a potential time crunch as folks would be coming and then there was a wait list. We weren’t rushed per se it was just a suggestion…then after the surge we were left to hang - that’s why I made a reservation a day in advance and at least expect good to hang out for 2 hours without issue :)

    Fun to try their creative cocktails (and classics) along with a variety of appetizers - served promptly. The menu entrees had something that sounded good to everyone in our group - including a need for gluten free (the salmon). The service was great too.

    If you are lucky, you will get Nate (the Great) to give you excellent service. The drinks were great (including the Mid-something beer flight). The Scotch Eggs were fantastic, and so was the Chicken BLT wrap, amongst other things.

    Food was extremely salty and greasy that we couldn’t eat most of it. Service was subpar as waiter was uninterested.

    Loved the ambiance and the food was amazing. I enjoyed my birthday lunch. Two thumbs up for our hostess and server!! I would definitely return and suggest my family and friends to visit Virtue Feed & Grain.

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here! It was beautifully decorated for the holidays, the greeters at the front door were so friendly, as was the young woman who seated us. No one rushed us. And the menu had so many delicious choices; I had the heated fresh apple cider and delicious seasonal soup. Our main course was fresh and comforting. We’ll be back!
