From a family Food truck in the 90s. To the oldest Mexican Restaurant in Rhode Island. The hospitality and authentic flavors of Mexico are behind everything we do at Viva Mexico. Presently, two fully operated family restaurants. The Ruiz family welcomes everyone to there home and family recipes with open arms. Viva Mexico Cantina Grill is Providence, Rhode Island's huge premiere dining destination for quality Poblano mexican cuisine sits 150 guest. The flavors and aromas truly come alive at our restaurants, with only the freshest ingredients selected for our guests.

Chef Ruiz and his family carefully crafted the menu with Poblano recipes both new and old, time tested traditional favorites alongside exciting new selections.     The carne asada entree and viva supreme tacos were outstanding, as was the red sangria and the strawberry margarita! Also, the service was terrific, with the owner himself coming to our table.

    Everything was great, fast service and good food/drinks. $9.50 for chips and tiny cups of salsa was the only complaint. Should be complimentary. Other than that great place!

    We’ve been to this restaurant several times, everything seems to be fresh and well seasoned, the food is excellent, the staff is excellent, drinks were excellent… we will be back .
