   Reasonably good food, a little pricey. We were seated upstairs, noise level was right up there.

   With a queue outside, it’s clear this restaurant is a local favorite. The food, especially the tan tan ramen is outstanding!

   Service was great and the restaurant looked amazing, at first the food was great, the kingfish tasted amazing and was a good size but the margarita wasnt really a margarita and the ramen broth just tasted like roasted sesame which was too strong to taste anything else, will definitely come back again but will try other dishes.

   Food was good but the service I thought was underwhelming - front of house staff seemed unfriendly and disinterested altogether. The booking was for two kids and an infant and upon arrival there was no offer of a high chair which should have been made clear before hand. Also upon us sitting down - without asking what we would like to order, the host walked up and said our spot is only for 1.5 hours which seems quite rushed (and normally standard bookings is for two hours so unsure if this lady is actually being for real?). The teishoku set and the ambience I couldn’t really fault - however given the price I would have expected better service instead of rushing their customers to get out the door.

   Off the bat, the place is really nice. Interior was stunning and the outback was aesthetic too. We booked for inside via open table but was told to sit outside because they had other bookings which was weird as we also booked. Menus were ripped and stained. It was cold outside and they didn’t turn on the heater. I do think the food was on the pricey end with share plates of around 5 pieces of sashimi were approx. $26. We ordered the tan tan ramen which lacked in flavour but it wasn’t bad, just bland. The teishoku sets had a good variety and each protein was executed well, but the sides were okay. Nothing amazing and everything just tasted like what it looked like. Only thing was the rhubarb and tofu tasted not right. I can see the appeal of the place and definitely looks worth visiting if you want to enjoy a few drinks with a nice view!

   Cute place but our meals were underwhelming, possibly because they were overwhelmed by a large table. With katsu curry prices at nearly $30 I’m not inclined to try again.

    Our favourite accessible Japanese in Melbourne! Always so delicious, these guys have the best Chicken Kastu Curry
