Welcome to Wah Bah!
The cheeky, loud and boisterous younger sibling of Geelong's favourite Asian restaurant, Wah Wah Gee. Eating out has never been so much fun at Geelong’s original Bao Bun Bar! Featuring some seriously good, tasty Bao Buns!
Located in the heart of Geelongs CBD, 250m out on the water, our food menu is designed to share while our cocktails offer something for everyone.

    The lady working was lovely. The venue was quiet as there was only me other small table of people. The cocktails and mocktails were nice, although pricey for the mocktails given there’s no alcohol in them. The food was a real let down. The popcorn chicken was so dry, that you needed to take a sip of the drink just to get the chicken down. There was also no flavour to it. The calamari was average. The chips were dry also, with no salt and no salt available for them. The potato bao buns were okay, but we’ve certainly had better.

    Happy hour prices were sensational. No complaints with regard's to the food. Service at beginning of evening was a bit hit and miss but improved as more staff where working. Atmosphere was good , bar got busier as evening progressed . Overall was a good night. Would go back again for sure.

    Upon arrival, room was poorly lit and was very quite Server didn’t show us to our table we were told “your table is around the corner” we had to go searching for our table. Ordered using the barcode on the table. One of our group members got kicked out of the browser twice before being able to order. We waited an hour and 10 minutes for our food to come out. When it did come out it was cold. The server said that there was only 1 chef When ordering drinks at the bar the lady took my drink order whilst in her phone. Overall one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. I will not be coming back

    Dirty, don't think the front of the bar has been wiped down in weeks, absolutely covered in spilt drinks. Little ledge beside my table covered in peppers that someone had dumped there during a previous service. Dicks stamped all over the table. 5 staff doing nothing behind the bar but no service to speak of. Meals were brought out and told to go and get our own cutlery. When you pay $18 for 4 very average dumplings you expect some level of service. Won't be back.

    The staff are not well-trained in hospitality and how to wait tables in a restaurant. We often had to chase them up for food or drinks. Also, they were rigid about swapping food items in their package and then told us the kitchen was closing when we hadn’t even received our mains…..

    This place has gone down hill so much, Dirty, toilets were smelly and filthy, food was very average, prices are expensive, bar staff don’t want to help, didn’t clear our table once. Booked for 15 people got sat at a table for about 8 people and hardly anyone else in the place. So disappointing, none of us will be returning.

    I booked online for 8 people at 4:30pm. When we arrived they said they didn’t have any bookings under my name but made room for us on a high table which isn’t really what we wanted. There was a large group upstairs that were loitering around the front door (wouldn’t move to let us through the door and made us feel quite uncomfortable to be honest) they were extremely loud and extremely drunk and I’m not sure how some of them were still being served alcohol due to how obviously intoxicated they were. We went downstairs and asked for a booking there, so we waited around until our booking time was available and headed downstairs which was very pleasant. Wah bah used to be lovely. A nice cool place to sit and have cocktails and nibbles, yesterday was awful. I was celebrating my birthday. It was not a nice experience. Could barely get a bartenders attention to order a drink at the bar, there was only 1/2 bartenders upstairs at the time. The floors were sticky and disgusting. We weren’t the only ones who quickly moved on after arriving, saw one other couple arrive after us, and quickly leave afterwards Probably won’t come back

    Had a booking for wah bah, and when we arrived was told they were closing and asked us to move downstairs . Once sat downstairs, had to wait over 10mins for menus. Otherwise, food and service after were excellent.
