The ambiance is alive and active with a beautiful setting to compliment the exciting menu. The scallop starter is superb with a perfect sear. The Alaskan halibut was nicely prepared in the light clam sauce with little neck clams. The heirloom beets were sweet and tender. The ahi tuna Wellington was different and very good but if you don’t like very rare tuna it might not be for you. I liked it a lot with the light pastry cover. The only reason for four stars was the mashed potato side and halibut dish was a little cold.

We are frequent Happy Hour Flyers at Waterbar. This was our first dinner and it won’t be our last. The food and service were excellent. Shout out to Alejandro at the bar and Andrew our server. Try it. You will like it. Excellent selection of starters and wines.

Waterbar is my favorite seafood restaurant in SF. The food is so fresh, beautifully presented and with impeccable service. The view is lovely also. It is my go to restaurant for any kind of celebration. Thank you for all you do to make my visit special, from briny oysters, to lovely cocktails.

Waterbar never disappoints! From cocktails and appetizers to entrees with wine finishing with a fabulous dessert - the seafood is locally sourced! The waitstaff is knowledgeable and attentive (but not overly!) - Waterbar is always a treat

Many good points, but for a seafood restaurant there simply weren’t enough fish entrees. Also, the wine selection was good, but the size of the pour far too small for such a high price.
