   It's been two months since my last visit to Waterbar. This time I went to celebrate my birthday and sit on the newly covered patio. Mother Nature decided that she wasn't going to allow that. She hit us with a couple of very strong bouts of rain just before my reservation. Instead we were seated at a prime table in the dining room that allowed us a great view of outside and was also great for people watching. We both started with a French 75 that was one of the best, and freshest, I have ever had. There were some things on the menu that I have never seen before so we had to order them. Lori, the pastry chef, made milk bread. It was delicious and served with a fantastic butter. I also had tilefish. I've never heard of it before and it was amazing. A light, flakey white fish that was served with "low country" rice and dried cherries. After going to the restaurant for about 18 years it's nice to know that they can always surprise me and can continue to serve dishes that are stellar in every way. For dessert Lori also made a Dutch crunch cream puff. I was curious because a Dutch crunch roll is hard on the outside and a cream puff is not. Again, stellar. It was served with strawberries and lychee rose ice cream. The combinations are always intriguing and ALWAYS amazingly delicious. Rich also brought out some lemon meringue bites that made me want an entire piece of pie. The lemon was tart and fresh, and the crust was perfect. Yes, I already made my next reservation.

   Reservation was at 8:00 didn’t get seated until 8:30. Took a While to get our order in. Had the seafood platter - not impressed the “ceviche” is in fact not ceviche. The seafood platter is overpriced compared to other places. Franciscian crab restaurant is way better at half the price. The only thing this place has going for itself is the view. Even the cocktail menu was disappointing. Not sure why this place has good ratings. As a Vegas local , very disappointed in our experience from service, wait time, food wasn’t great , and cocktail menu was not impressive .

   Our server was rushing us - brought different drinks without even asking - not friend Food great and amazing just be there late because he rush rush our table and I had international guest that are use to eating late

   The Waterbar was a fabulous experience. The food was excellent and the wait staff attended to all our needs. We had dinner in the early evening and was seated outside overlooking the bay and the Oakland bridge. We ordered several seafood appetizers and entrees all prepared to our liking. This restaurant is very popular so I suggest that you make reservations ahead of time. Also there is no parking or valet service so it’s best to use a ride share service to get there. The restaurant is also a nice few minutes walk from the Ferry Building.

   Multiple trips to WB over the years. Always have exactly what I expect--a great dinner. The staff was very welcoming and quick to seat you and accommodate last minute requests. our waiter was spot on knowing when to approach us and also provided the same for food recommendations. Food was artistic and delicious, and enough to satisfy your hunger. Dining outdoors under the heaters provides a great atmosphere.

    Christian is the worst bartender I've ever had. Rude. Inattentive. Treated like I was subhuman highly reccomend sitting literlally amywhere besides the bar..
