   Great Sunday roast with freshly prepared food. New owners are making this pub into a new favourite for us. There was also a really good live singer at just the right volume as background music and gave the place a lovely atmosphere. Good to see The Wattenden thriving and busy.

   As usual, fantastic food served by Lauren and Thierry with aplomb in our favourite venue! Nothing's too much trouble and all requests taken without question and acted on.

   My beef was just as I like I, quite rare and succulent. Jug of additional gravy appreciated. Pity they forgot to give me any roast potatoes but was soon rectified. My only complaint was that our table was right opposite a door which people were using to go outside and therefore it was bitterly cold when this happened. Our waitress was very efficient and helpful.

   Food was excellent - choice and quality but the service was very slow . My food arrived when the rest of My family had finished.

   Excellent birthday lunch for our local widowed friend . Staff lovely and gave her a comp drink and birthday sparkling candle . We all had a lovely time

   Food was delicious, portions very large. Service was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money and we will be back very soon. Thanks guys

    We had Sunday dinner at 7.45 and were the only ones there at one point. Apparently it was busy at lunchtime. Dinner was very nice and we will be back 😋.

    Thank you for your review Jan; yes we stop serving at 7.30pm; it was indeed a busy lunch and then we move in to our weekly quiz at 8pm. We do hope you come back and see us again.
