   My husband and I started with the fried green tomatoes and a couple of cocktails. Our entree was the ribeye for 2. It was delicious with a great char on the outside and a perfect medium rare. The chimichurri sauce was the perfect complement to the ribeye! The roasted carrots and marbled potatoes were delightful. Our server, Ally, was attentive and efficient. Overall, a great experience.

   It was my first time there and I just wasn’t very impressed. The menu selection was just ok to me. I can’t describe what type of cuisine they have. From chicken and waffles to Philly cheesesteak to salmon. The food was ok. Service was good. I didn’t like how close we sat next to the other party. We are separated by a low divider on the table.

   Great interior, the style was very western, vintage and rustic. Beautiful beams in a the ceiling and good feeling mood of paint. Unfortunately probably due to it being the day after valentines it was packed at seven pm. Definitely having a reservation helped, got our seats within minutes of checking in, too bad our table was next to the kitchen entrance. The hustle and bustle there was far too loud so we requested a quieter table. Again within a few minutes we were seated more towards the back, much better. We ordered the green tomatoes and deviled eggs as appetizers. Honestly both ended up being better than the entrees. I had the sirloin steak medium rare with mashed potatoes and aioli sauce, the sauce was the best part. The steak was very mediocre easy to get anywhere else. She had the salmon, it was very very rich, smoky and fatty. The entire meal was just good. Unfortunately I'd say Whiskey Cake is just a very one and done kinda of place. Wish I had taken more pictures

   Good for cocktails but food menu is limited. Maybe a drinks place but dine somewhere else.

   Arrived maybe 10 minutes early for our reservation, checked in at desk no real acknowledgement from hostess. Book it will be 5 minutes, 10 minutes nothing. After maybe 10 minute wait we were shown to table. Very unprofessional hostess station. Waitress was attentive at first. Drinks were served quickly. The Little Rye Lies was fantastic. Appetizers of bacon and deviled eggs were ok. Deviled eggs were rather boring. After appetizers waitress picked up my cutlery saying she would bring new. Dinner came no new cutlery after waiting about 5 minutes and telling others at table to eat I finally went to another table and grabbed cutlery from that table. I had the pork chop it was meh. Not sure if I was supposed to get a steak knife with it but cutting with standard knife was not easy feat. The vegetables with it were excellent. My wife got beet salad and steak fritz. She said the salad was fantastic. The steak was cooked to nice medium rare. Friends said the salmon was good but the chicken sandwich was mediocre at best. 2nd round of drinks were ok. The smoked old fashioned was nice the smoke added a nice flavor. The spiced old fashioned was not good same to be said for the peach old fashioned. I did order 3rd drink after dinner another Little Rye Lies. Here is the kicker, before my drink arrived waitress arrived with bill and instead of dropping it off and leaving she stood there waiting for us to pay. I still had a drink coming. Never felt so rushed. I do like they have little readers versus taking the card away but also double edged sword the waitress can see what you are tipping as she stands there holding the machine. Food meh, service not good, price for quality of drinks and food over priced.

   Busy place! We both ordered the Fish & Chips, a beer battered large piece of cod. Fish was excellent, chips (fries) were sent back because they were overly salted. Why do restaurants all do that? Tell the kitchen staff to stop it; people know how to salt their own fries!!!!! New fresh and hot fries were quickly provided. Hubby had a side salad; he liked. I ordered the Flash fried brussels sprouts - a bit over the top with additional add-ons - "sunflower seeds, honey-lemon pepper glaze, bbq-lime aioli" - one or more of this combo could have been eliminated because all together it just drowned/overpowered the nice brussels sprouts. We enjoyed the first time visit and will definitely return for another shot at the menu.

   Had a nice time. Booking was a little late, but it was Valentine’s Day and crowded. Napkins with our silverware were dirty, but they were replaced right away. Two of the three starters came very fast, but we had to correct them on the third and it took some time for them to arrive. All in all, we’d go back, but on a less busy night.
