White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

    Service was very slow as they were understaffed. Over 2 hours for lunch was too long. Took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. Was hoping for a better experience as they did a great job renovating the place...oh well....

    Very busy today and parking was “creative”. Once inside , the staff at host desk was very helpful and sat us promptly. Lovely booth in the large bar and Jessica suggested a couple of her favorite choices from the menu. My cosmo was delicious, and so was my combo soup and sandwich of squash soup and curry chicken salad sandwich. Ended meal with a perfect cappuccino !

    The restaurant decor is tasteful and very festive for the holidays, I could not give a 5 because of the parking, the lot is not big enough and no valet so we had to park across the street,l and it was raining, the staff were so accommodating, little disappointed in the turkey sandwich, the turkey looked like lunch meat roasted turkey not hand cut, crab dip and mushroom soup outstanding, overall I would go back so visit and enjoy

    Food is always excellent. Great menu and ingredients, everything we’ve eaten in 4 visits has been well-prepared. Service was great in 3 out of 4 visits. 4th visit our server seemed overwhelmed and disappeared for long stretches of time. Service needs to reach higher to match the food and ambiance.
