   As usual, a family favorite! Where else can you get a fabulous martini and cheese board plus kids get buttered pasta with fries?! We will continue to come often!

   Got a cheese plate, which included 3 or 4 crostinis. Had to ask for extra and wait, then our entrees came out before we were finished. The table was too small to accommodate the amount of plates. Got the bill and there’s an upcharge for crostinis. Is there a bread shortage? Why not just give enough and roll the upcharge into the cheese plate cost? Why waste everyone’s time? The place was busy and this kind of BS slows down servers and foodrunners, and reduces table turnover. Honestly I feel bad for the staff, it’s a really dumb policy and made the experience unpleasant. The food was ok. Our server and the entirety of the staff were excellent, and maybe the only redeeming part.

   I've been to the White Dog quite a few times. Food and Service were good, but we got stuffed in the back dining area (first time), which was loud and felt like we were in a diner. To top it off the table was sticky as were the salt and pepper grinders.

   Food was good, wait service was decent. The issues holding our reservation for patio seating had been the biggest dissapointment. Despite arriving early and making patio reservations well in advance we where shown to an indoor seat following our wait, and needed to remind our hostess of our reservation. The response we received was dismissive, more appropriate for a last minute request, and frankly the reason for this review. For this price point there are many other options in the area offering a more welcoming and communicative experience.

   I understand that Mother’s Day is typically very busy, but I found it really off putting how quickly we were rushed through our meal. Even on Saturday nights at busy restaurants in lower Manhattan, restaurants will typically allow guests to stay from 90-120 minutes, and make any time limits known ahead of time. We were rushed through our meal in under an hour. Our appetizer was taken away before we had finished (the server who bussed our plate walked away so quickly that he didn’t hear me say we weren’t finished). The check was brought to me when I was only halfway through my entree, and we saw multiple staff members walk by to see if I had paid yet, seeming irritated that I was still eating my meal. The waiter who was actually serving us did not do this, but it was still very uncomfortable to be rushed out so quickly. Again, I understand that it’s a busy day, but I made these reservations way ahead of time so that my mother and I could celebrate the day together. We hardly got a chance to eat, let alone talk because of the way we were rushed. The food itself was good, but the service/overall atmosphere was really uncomfortable. If there is a time limit to the table, that should be made known ahead of time so patrons can make informed decisions when reserving a table. If I had know we had under an hour from start to finish, I would’ve chosen to go somewhere else.
