Food, setting, and service were great. Our server Tim was informative and friendly. Both the assistant GM and GM were present and also great to chat with as they checked in. Highly recommended this historic restaurant as it truly lived up to its reputation.

Scott was a great server and the food was good. The building is very historic and quaint. We ate upstairs in the room with the green paint and had a nice view of the fireplace. I would not want a table right next to the fireplace, however, because it does get hot.

Food and ambience were great. However we were celebrating our anniversary…. Staff greeted us and wished us a happy one. Then all around us people got free cake slices for a bday, anniversary, etc. We got nothing. Would have been fine if it wasn’t that obvious that others were getting things “on the house” (announced audibly)… was weird to be excluded in that manner.

Food was good. Felt rushed to finish our meal. The Sommelier was the highlight of the meal!

Romantic setting, especially in the fall/winter when their enormous fireplaces add warmth to this beautiful tavern (oldest in the country). Excellent menu and food- loved the swordfish special and steak frites although they’re known for their beef Wellington which I’ll try another time. Professional, polished but not stuffy service. Highly recommend.
