Like generations before us, we serve the freshest fish, clams and lobsters from Narragansett Bay along with just-picked produce from local RI’s farms. We embrace RI’s vibrant food scene to bring you the very best artisan cheeses, honeys, prime cuts of beef and the highest quality chops and poultry from local farms. We are proud to embrace RI's vibrant food scene, which has made the White Horse Tavern a New England destination.

Proper Dress Required; Business Casual is appropriate. Jackets are not required. Please no athletic wear.

Please note any allergies or special requests when making your reservation or any restrictions with stairs. Reservations are recommended to be made 2 to 4 weeks prior to your preferred dining date and time. Specific tables may be requested however we are unable to guarantee certain requests.

Outstanding food and service! We ordered the Beef Wellington and Duck. It was memorable. Unfortunately the fireplaces were not running because of the rain but still wonderful atmosphere.

Sometimes when going to landmark restaurants, the food is not as good as the hype. In the case of the White Tavern, they put out a world class dinner in a world class fashion. We were seated promptly and let through their many beautiful rooms to our table. I did ask to lower the music which they happily did. The rest was magical. The service was professional and friendly. Our server went through all the specials, of which we chose a few. The Beef Wellington A+ Swordfish special A+ Deserts A++ A shoutout to the Sommelier who listened carefully to our budget and taste preferences and selected a superb wine. This restaurant is a true gem.

Went for our anniversary, finished in an hour and 15 minutes. Little quick moving to enjoy our night. Service was pleasant but a little delayed. Great wine list but hard to get a refill. At the end of our night we took the dessert menu which had plenty of good offerings but really felt like we could not eat anymore. After that we were handed the check it seemed like they wanted us to move along. Would we go back, probably not.

We had a delicious dinner out for our first time here. We did feel a bit rushed as our waiter removed the bread and our wine glass before we were finished. Its a lovely historic building, we wish they had some of the historic information on the front or back of the menu as we have seen at other restaurants.
