   We received the wrong menu item for two orders and the food didn’t have much flavour. The beer was good though!

   Overall a good spot with great pub food. Service was adequate but could have been a little more welcoming. Like just saying hi and slapping our menus down while we waited 10 minutes for our server to come back and take our drink orders. It wasn't crazy busy at that time. I don't expect servers to be our besties, but at least try to be a little friendly and welcoming.

   It was my first time at Hop House. I got a bunch of women from my church together to visit. Food was very good, waiter was attentive, and the first hour (7-8 pm) was great. Then between 8-9 pm, it transformed by degrees into a night club, with the music getting perceptibly louder at various intervals, and the bouncer at the door arrived. If you want a loud party atmosphere where no one can hear conversation, go after 8:30. If you want a quieter venue, leave before 8 pm, or else find another venue.

    Was a bit frustrated I spent 6$ on sour cream, pico and guacamole for my nachos (2$ each) when it wasn’t clear from the server it was an add on. Server said ‘sour cream, pico and guacamole on the side all good?’ I said yes as usually some sides are included with nachos. Didn’t touch the pico or guac. Bill came and I don’t dinged 6$. Frustrating. My food also came 10 minutes after my 2 friends who patiently waited as their food got cold. Would not come back.
