We are a small, family run restaurant since 2002 specialising in carefully sourced Aberdeen Angus beef from Scottish small highland farms, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail.
Our emphasis is on high quality local ingredients and fresh produce from the best of local suppliers. Beef is selected, prepared and hung for us by Award wining "John Gilmour" of Macmerry master butchers since 1946. Fresh fish are delivered daily by Calum Sinclair and J.K Thompsons. West coast Mussels are delivered fresh daily by "Sea Mcgee". Our venison comes from wild Perthshire deer, lamb from the Scottish Borders. Artisan and farmhouse British cheeses are supplied by renowned Edinburgh cheesemonger, Iain Mellis and dairy produce from Fife Creamery. We take pride to cook everything fresh in our own kitchen daily.
We have outside seating arrangements for walk-Ins only.

It was wonderful! A little and cozy place, lovely people and amazing food! I ate the mussels and a dryaged steak. I would definitely come back!

A lovely cosy wee place at the end of Rose Street. Food, service and ambience were excellent. Definitely one of Edinburgh’s hidden gems.

Not great . Haggis starter was a maxi e gooey blob of mush . Really disappointed. No refinement at all and made me feel a bit queasy. Steak was nice enough but not wow

Both the Spanish lad from Andalusia and the girl absolutely fabulous . Food as always fantastic and my blue steak best there is anywhere and that’s saying something You have never lived unless you go to WILDFIRE
