This has been one of our faves for years, and we have really enjoyed the new menu and ambience since the new owners took over. BUT our past visit, which we decided to take out of town guests, was pretty bad, except for the waiter was nice and the food was very good. We were 15 minutes late for res, which I called an hour ahead to warn them. Although I requested outside on resv, and the rain had just cleared up, they acted put out to seat us outside. They were super busy inside so the hostess said it would actually help them out. It took an extra 20 minutes to move 2 tables together for our group. One table didn't have an umbrella and the other umbrella was dripping down on our daughter and the baby carriers at the pushed over table.. We asked to move to an empty large rectangular table (w/umbrella) right next to us and were told they had a resv and couldn't move us. After 10-15 mins with no-one there, hubby asked again and a guy came out to say "since we wanted a diff place, we were stuck there and the other was needed for resv". It took another 30 mins for a group to sit at the large table and there were only 4 of them!! REALLY? At an 8 top w/umbrella that covered whole table! We asked to light the heaters, and were told they were out of propane, but were at least offered blankets. Our drinks, including the kids' juices, took 40 mins! They arrived AFTER our apps were already eaten! Most of our food was hot and very good at least. After mentioning to the waiter that this wasn't a pleasant experience, and that we were basically regulars over the years, he said sorry and he'd see what he could do. We ordered 3 to-go desserts since we had already been there 2 1/2 hrs- NOTHING was comped and NOTHING was offered after spending $300 and raving to our guests about it. I used to work in the biz. I know the owners were gone, they were extremely busy inside, and the rain wasn't helping. But to not be compensated in some way, makes us wonder if we will ever go back:(

The service was extremely slow. We were informed by the waitress after ordering that they did not receive any chicken in their daily product order so there were no chicken options available. Have heard great things previously about their burgers but those that ordered burgers in our party thought they were good but not great. Have lived in Colorado Springs for 15 years and this was the first time we have ventured up to this restaurant. Sadly it won’t be somewhere we are eager to return.

Weatherly was a great server!! We told her it was our anniversary and she was so kind and gave wonderful recommendations. She even told the owner it was our anniversary and they suggested wines to try. We love Wines of Colorado, it’s actually where we got engaged. Such a great, quaint, peaceful place with amazing food and service.

This is our second time to Wines of Colorado in 10 days. Both times to bring out of town gets to a uniquely Colorado fine restaurant at a moderate price. Keep up providing this fine dining experience. This time 2 had the portobello stuffed mushroom appetizer with a side salad, one had the bison burger, and one had meatballs with linguini. All excellent. We enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Abby winery in Canon City. We also go to Wines of colorado without guests. I guess we are fans.

This location is great. Because I wanted lunch, "Creekside", I made a reservation. Got to the restaurant a bit early and they had no record of my reservation. I had to show it to them on my phone. Another couple came in and they too had reservations and almost got seated before me. Don't know what happened?? Otherwise good visit. My Tacos were a bit dry and tasteless, but my nieces Chicken Parm was good; chicken well cooked - not dry. Bloody Mary - Good as was the Server.

The specific request I made an open table did not get to the staff. Service was friendly but some mistakes were made. Some food was very good but some food was less good.

We brought guests visiting for the first time and had the BEST meals with the BEST service! Thank you Alyssa and also Tom the host and hostess and bartenders! We also loved our creek side table! If you are wondering if you should book a reservation, do it! We hope to bring more friends again this week to enjoy another great experience!

Such a gorgeous place!! We noted in the reservation that it was our anniversary, and they gave us the perfect table outside right next to the river. The staff was excellent, the food was tasty (definitely recommend the Baked Brie, it had a delicious jam on top that was so good we got a little sauce container to take it home), and we each got a wine flight and loved it. The meads were especially great. Definitely make a reservation if you want to sit outside!
