A fond memory of long-time Wrigley Mansion members is of Geordie Hormel playing on the antique Steinway in the Living Room during Brunch. Now, the late musician’s wife and Mansion owner Jamie Hormel, brings live jazz back to the house in an intimate setting. Reservations are required as seating is limited for this one and a half hour event. Cocktails, our full award-winning wine list, and the bar menu are available. The venue is absolutely amazing as well as the service. We were seated in a room that had spectacular views. The room temperature was very inconsistent, so bring a jacket or sweater if you are going here during cooler weather. One person had a birthday, which we told them ahead of time, but the restaurant did not provide a small desert for the birthday person!! Most restaurants provide a small desert. My shrimp was lukewarm when it arrived, and one shrimp was undercooked. The dressing on the caesar salad was so overloaded with lemon, it was very tart and difficult to eat. Another person at our table ordered salmon and indicated it was just okay. The value for the price was just not there for this restaurant and overall was a disappointing.

Unique, secluded, historic, beautiful. The mansion is gorgeous and tucked away like a hidden gem. The food and service were excellent. We will be back.

We celebrated our anniversary there. They had roses on the table and a custom printed one page blueprint of the mansion with our names and date. Then we got a tour of Christopher’s by the chef himself! It was great!

The views and the mansion are stunning. The food is nothing to get excited about. It lacked flavor and overall creativity. We tried the chicken, pork chop and filet - all were similar to something you could get for 1/2 the price at a restaurant closer to home. There are far better fine dining options around to spend your $ on. It would be good for them to maybe do some quality control or have the chef who created these options make sure it was their intention…I think it’s fallen off the planned course.

I originally had more positive things to say, but within 24 hours after dining, I've gotten a terribly upset stomach. I didn't dare think that it could've been the chicken I ate, however I had the feeling to look in my takeout box (couldn't see at the restaurant as it was over candlelight.) My chicken is extremely pink, and even had a metallic strip in "cooked" chicken. I was amazed with how tender it was at the restaurant, now I realize it was just severely undercooked. Our server and the staff were amazing, however, reception had a "too cool for you" teenage vibe. We were advised we could walk through the mansion (any open door) after our meal, and I really didn't feel welcomed passing by reception to do so with the glares we received. It was our ten year wedding anniversary, and i was expecting café monarch kind of service that we always receive there. $100 difference gets you so much more at a different location. The sunset was beautiful, as well as the candlelight. As we quickly, quietly walked through the mansion, a kind staff member shared some facts, that kind of made up for the receptionists cold interaction. It is very beautiful there, the mansion is one of a kind for sure!

The main dishes were tastless. The prime rib was all fat, hardly any meat and the turkey so dry, imposible to eat. The price was over the top.

Although the dishes were plated beautifully, every single course was cold. The soup, the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing. All cold. Service, wine paring, sommelier, and atmosphere were all amazing on the other hand. So yeah. Just warm up your food, guys.
