Everyone loved everything except the volume of noise. They wanted to communicate. I can only hope you will fix this.

We have eaten at several of Chef Voltaggio's restaurants (the OG Volt, Thatcher and Rye, Lunchbox (IYKYK), and Family Meal) and every experience has been great so our expectations were high for both quality food and service. We made reservations for a milestone birthday exactly 1 month out via OpenTable, requesting a seat in the mezzanine. We arrived 15 minutes early to a very busy restaurant and bar. While we waited for or table, we ordered drinks at the bar - no complaints about the service or drinks. We were sat at a table right next to the door to the hostess area, not the requested mezzanine. We noted this to the hostess who informed us the mezzanine was "very popular" and we would have "wait a bit longer" if wanted to sit there, we kept our table. So, why ask where we wanted to sit when making the reservation, and if was just a preference that should have been noted at the time of reservation and by the hostess. We ordered several rounds of drinks, oysters to start, the $89 45-day aged Angus shell steak, swordfish, mashed potatoes, and shells and cheese. The food was excellent, absolutely no complaints but the service faltered. The dining area was teaming with at least 3 maitre d's, several servers and runners who all seemed to be overwhelmed or distracted by other tables. While we appreciate wait staff who do not hover, the check-ins were lacking. At the end of our meal the waitress, who previous acknowledged the birthday occasion asked if we wanted dessert, we requested panna cotta (a special that evening) and another beer. After 15-miuntes, no dessert or drink arrived, the waitress returned seemingly forgetting our order and handed us a dessert menu. We simply asked for the check. At the cost of the a la carte menu, we expected more attentive service but perhaps the demand for the restaurant has overwhelmed staff. Will we go back, yes, to see if more time smooths out service and if it has not, we will likely not recommend to others.

Overall wonderful experience. Menu was fantastic, it was hard to choose. We started with the appetizer platter so we could try everything, and the crudo was by far the best part. All was so good! Between the prime rib, rockfish, short rib, and rib eye, along with a bottle of red, we had a fantastic meal. Dessert… the chocolate bark was everyone’s favorite between that, apple one, and strawberry cheesecake. Chocolate bark blew em away! Thank you Voltaggio brothers. We’ve been fans of yours for so long!

We were very excited about eating there and were not disappointed. Our waiter was very friendly and explained some of the food options. We were very happy with the food we selected: crab cake, rock fish, swordfish and lemon meringue pie. It was a little noisy but the restaurant was full. Would definitely eat there again!

Our second time here was as great as the first. Excellent and friendly service, and the food is delicious and served in decent sized serving. And eating in that building is a fascinating experience.

The ambiance, service, and food were excellent. This is definitely a place to go to treat yourself. We ended up ordering four appetizers for two people, and it was more than enough food. We will be back soon.
