   7 of us had a great dinner in Yamamori - I’ve been going since it opened in 1994 and it never fails to impress

   Staff weren't the friendliest, food was fine but we definitely felt rushed and the 12.5% tip added on at the end for a party of 3 people left a bitter taste....

   My first time to eat here and the restaurant Yamamori was busy had a lovely atmosphere warm and cozy. Waiting staff are a credit them very attentive and helpful, we both had the vegetarian option . I had the tofu steak was amazing and flavourful really enjoyed it my partner had the vegetarian Bento both delicious . 10/10 from us and will return in the near future. Thank you Yamamori for a lovely evening.

    The food was average for the price and it took ages to come, I waited a little more than half an hour for the food. But that wasn’t the problem, the biggest issue was on where you servant ( I don’t recall his name I only know he is Brazilian and worked on 31st of January with a night time shift) added to the bill service charges without asking or double checking if we wanted. After we paid half of the bill cause it was a big group he told us that we have to pay because half of it was already paid. They also charged us for water, and the cake when it wasn’t asked for. Honestly I would never expect this level of service of consideration for your costumers. I had been to the restaurant before and I had an amazing experience but now my opinion about has completely changed negatively and I’m not looking forward to go again. Completely disappointed, it was my birthday and the service completely ruined my mood for the night.

To clarify, your waiter, Arthur, is one of our most trusted and experienced servers, and we have full confidence in his ability to take care of our guests professionally. He made sure to inform your group about the service charge, which is discretionary but non-reversible once the transaction begins. He did remove it from the other table’s bill when confusion arose. As for the bottled water, your table requested tap water(free), while the other table ordered bottled water. The dessert and candle were ordered as a surprise from your friends, and it was our pleasure to celebrate with you all.
