   The chicken was pretty good. The waffles were very crunchy. I did not like this texture combination of crispy and crispy. The syrup didn’t help to soften the waffles. It was paired with watermelon and mint which was a little warm likely because it was next to freshly fried chicken. I’d prefer if that was in a separate bowl. This definitely seems like a busy place. I heard my waitress repeat herself with other customers, forgetting that she had already asked them the same questions. I don’t feel like the service was particularly standout. Definitely overpriced and overrated.

   We always have a wonderful time at Yardbird. We requested a specific table that accommodates our family for our annual family reunion and they were able to accommodate us which was great.  it was very crowded so it took a while for our food to arrive but our server did a wonderful job and was as efficient and friendly as she could be considering the big rush of people that came the same time that we showed up for our reservation! The fried chicken and short ribs were wonderful and the vegetables were great as usual.. street corn, fried okra & yummy mashed potatoes. We were happy to see that fried okra was back on the menu after a lengthy absence! We were sad to see that the mango salad was taken off the menu. The biscuits were great and the only Item we got that was just OK was their rather dry Caesar salad which could use some anchovies & homemade croutons in my humble opinion! The bourbon lemonade is delicious too! We will be back soon. The complimentary chocolate candy at the meals’ end was a nice touch. Overall, we all had a super time at Yardbird!!!

   Excellent food and service! Lobster Mac and cheese, ham Xmas special, and short rib were all amazing. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in Miami.

    Expectations were high for this place but unfortunately they were not met for me. Service was great. Super friendly and attentive but the food was just okay. Appetizers were well done with the fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs and cornbread being tasty and well executed. The mains were a disappointment though. The fried chicken was probably the best but was still not much above a Mary browns or Popeyes in quality and taste. My barbecue platter was just okay too with an odd additional of mayonnaise on the bbq chicken. The ribs were tasty and had good texture but the brisket burnt ends were alternately dry and fatty. The sausage was in my opinion just ok. The shrimp and grits were also just okay with the shrimp being a bit fishy tasting leading me to believe they were not of the best quality. I was expecting better from this highly rated place.
