   Expectations were high for this place but unfortunately they were not met for me. Service was great. Super friendly and attentive but the food was just okay. Appetizers were well done with the fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs and cornbread being tasty and well executed. The mains were a disappointment though. The fried chicken was probably the best but was still not much above a Mary browns or Popeyes in quality and taste. My barbecue platter was just okay too with an odd additional of mayonnaise on the bbq chicken. The ribs were tasty and had good texture but the brisket burnt ends were alternately dry and fatty. The sausage was in my opinion just ok. The shrimp and grits were also just okay with the shrimp being a bit fishy tasting leading me to believe they were not of the best quality. I was expecting better from this highly rated place.

   Great service and food as always. Has gotten a bit pricey, especially the cocktails, but the quality is great.

   Had a great brunch outside on the patio. Drinks and service was delicious, as was the chicken biscuits. Fun place to spend on a Sunday morning!!!

   Happy we tried it out, but nothing to write home about and wouldn’t revisit. A bit expensive for one-dimensional flavors. Service was just fine - long wait time to be greeted and watered, but server apologized.

   Food is always great here. Today I tried the shrimp and grits. It was a little spicy with the peppers but I asked for a biscuit to go with it, and it helped along with a glass of water.

   Although the restaurant was not very busy, our waiter took a very long time to take our order, and he basically ignored the wishes of one guest who needed her food with little salt. Their specialty is supposed to be the fried chicken, but although the portion was very generous it was nothing above average. Cancelled a reservation we had to go back.
