   Zaytinya is always a stop when in DC. This past time we did the chef’s tasting menu for the first time and it was absolutely fabulous. I woke up the next morning still full. I feel Zaytinya is the only restaurant I’ve been too that does outside well. Everything was perfect. Can’t wait for next time!

   Jose dominates the small plate concept. Food is delicious. Service was great. Well trained and knowledgeable. Try the Taramasolata. And Cripsy eggplant. Garlic spread that came with the chicken shish kebab was amazing. Innovative takes on classic Mediterranean executed perfectly.

   We had a working lunch which was delicious. The server was attentive and helpful. The portions were generous.

   Food and service outstanding, as ever. We usually expect a lively atmosphere, with full tables and constant conversation. It’s possible we find it a bit too loud, being older diners, and maybe the building acoustics lend themselves to amplification. We won’t stop dining at Zaytinya - it’s too good to miss. We may look for quieter times to dine there.

   Everything was great—a bit loud but not sure what can be done with that—it’s amazing that Zaytinya manages soooo many diners so well. The food was great and the service was fabulous!! Thanks

    We went for a later lunch during the weekend. While we got sat right away, we didn’t even know who our waitress was until they came in 15 minutes later with our water. We were still looking at the menu, but when we tried to order she was no where to be found. We waiting for over 30+ minutes and couldn’t wait any longer so we had to order our food with another waiter. The food was overall good, but we will not be back. The service was extremely slow and lacking. Our original waitress didn’t come check in on us until after we were done eating. We asked for a refill on both of our water and the check, yet she only filled up one of our cups and didn’t fill the other. We got the check and gave her the card, and we couldn’t get her attention for another 20 minutes. When we asked for our card back so we could pay and leave, she brought the machine to pay instead of handing back the card we already gave her. We then had to wait for her to find my card/check before we could officially pay and leave. We came here to celebrate a birthday but left extremely disappointed.
