Zitz Sum is a 30 seat seasonal restaurant located inside of an historic building in Coral Gables, Florida. Our story, is a story of resilience, passion & commitment, that is translated in a plate of food, excellent service and unapologetic gracious hospitality. Our current menu is an autobiographical journey reflecting Chef’s experiences and our affinity for Japanese ingredients and technique.

We currently offer A la carte menu that changes with the seasons, and a Seven Course Tasting Menu that changes weekly. Our tasting menu consists of playful snacks and bites to get the night going, and an array of our signature and favorite current dishes. Part of the tasting menu is presented in a family style format conducive for sharing and celebrating.

Zitz Sum is recipient of a 2022, 2023 & 2024 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Award, a 2022 James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and a New York Times 2022 Best 50 Restaurants in America.

The food was amazing, creative and delicious. The service was great and ambiance too. I’m not sure if it was an issue the night we were there, but it was very warm in the restaurant, uncomfortable warm and the red wine was served warm as well. But, the food made up for it.

I've been here a dozen times at this point and everything is always immaculate. Some of the best food in miami and with some of the best service in the business combine for a premier restaurant and fantastical tasting menu for any occasion.

Dining at Zitz Sum feels like our favorite sport—it’s our go-to spot in the Gables, and we keep coming back for more. Whether we’re in the mood for a quick bite or a full dinner experience, it always delivers. Last night was no exception. Gabriel took incredible care of us, making the evening even more memorable. His deep knowledge of the menu helped us navigate our choices effortlessly, and his hospitality was top-notch. We can’t recommend Zitz Sum enough—it’s a place we truly love.

Excellent food and cocktails; the tasting menu covers all of the bases. Don’t believe the photos of the inside - they make the place look super bright when it is actually quite intimate lighting. We were two couples and it was just perfect. The almost sneaky way to get in makes it feel like a secret speakeasy

Zitz Sum is such a hidden gem! We did their Spring tasting menu, and it was so amazing. Every dish was so unique and delicious. The people who work there are truly the best.

I enjoy the creative dishes and the long time favorites when coming here. There is a great attention to detail in the food and the character of the restaurant is unpretentious which I love.
