Our journey in Cappadocia began in 2005, when our mother Monique visited Uçhisar with friends and fell in love with a charming ruin, draped in grapevines. That ruin eventually became the first rooms of Taskonaklar Hotel, and with it, our restaurant—Moniq.
Cappadocia is a region rich in both landscape and culture, shaped by centuries of coexistence between Greeks, Armenians, and Turks. At Moniq, our mission is to elevate our guests' experience of this unique region. We’ve carefully crafted a menu that honors the culinary diversity of Cappadocia, featuring regional dishes with local, artisanal touches, and sourcing ingredients from nearby producers as much as possible.
