Rey’s did not disappoint again tonight. We’ve been several times, and we keep returning because the food and service is exceptional. I had the 8 oz filet, and my husband had the 16 oz ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese is always our favorite side. Lots of lobster tonight. I ordered the Black Beauty for a cocktail (first time), and it was delicious.

Went here for valentines and the experience was underwhelming. They had cut items off their menus, Items that we were hoping to try because they wanted the kitchen to work fast. If we had know this we would have went elsewhere instead. As for the options they did have on the menu it was not very appealing. None of what they had was interesting so we just went with the steaks. Those steaks we not the best and it was definitely rushed out the kitchen with how quick it arrived after we ordered. The plating of the steaks had zero effort and was plainly plated. No garnesh, no butter, not anything that would have elevated the steak. I definitely had better at other fine dining spots at similar price points. Capital grill, Sullivans, and even Ruth Chris would’ve been other options I wouldve chosen over Rey’s, I’ve been to those establishments on valentines before and Rey’s definitely falls flat. As for the side it was a similar story. We had got this potatoe side and it was Not bad but definitely not worth the price or be considered fine dining. I could’ve chopped up some potatoes and fried them with onions and it would’ve turned out way better than theirs because it would’ve been seasoned. The only saving grace of the experience was the Ahi tuna and the banana foster. Those items we good, yet the two main things the steak and side fell way flat. Overall the experience was mediocre and not a place i would considered to go on valentines again. Not sure why people like Rey’s so much but I’m sure if those people were to try other competing places there view on Rey’s will fall down.

The food and service were outstanding. Our first experience at Reys and will definitely not be our last. Our waiter was really a big help with our selections of food and beverage. My wife's 77 birthday was a wonderful time, and she said it probably the best meal she had ever had. Thanks to all at Reys.

Rey’s was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I celebrated his 48th birthday and on the table waiting for him was a handwritten card wishing him a happy birthday. The personal touch was very nice and shows extra effort with attention to detail. The bone-in ribeye was cooked to perfection. I always request my steak to be cooked rare, and I have found it difficult to get my steak cooked how I like at other restaurants, but not at Rey’s. They get it right every time. The chef did a great job seasoning the steak as I didn’t need to add any salt or pepper. We ordered the creamed spinach, mushrooms, and Lyonnaise Potatoes which was more than enough for two people to share, and again, everything was delicious. For dessert we had the Bananas Foster which was prepared table side, what fun!! In my opinion, Rey’s is the best steakhouse in Raleigh! I’ve been to them all and no one beats the quality of meat, attention to detail in seasoning and preparing the steak to the correct temperature as Rey’s. A true treat!

Their fish and chicken recipes were fantastic. You cant beat their soups and the lobster mac and cheese is to live for.
