   Very attractive riverside setting. Welcoming staff looked after us well. Good range of dishes on a la carte menu. Friendly and helpful advice from Hulya. Service paced well. Pleasant ambience. Some regular returning diners. A good experience.

   I would say the experience was ok , thought it was a shame no extra attention given as I had said it was a 50th Birthday celebration , the hotel used to be owned by my wife's grand parents ( my wife is Katie Bowater ) I believe you have a restaurant named after her grand parents .

   A lovely setting. Delicious lunch for our family party of 5 for an 80th birthday celebration. Though the waiting staff were friendly and helpful, we felt the Compleat Angler were short of skilled waiting staff. There appeared also to be a disconnect between the kitchen and the waiting staff!

   I had a bad experience with the restaurant during taking my afternoon tea. The staff were rude not supportive not flexible except one person (Arnav) only supposed go to another respected place to work there instead of working at this place. Honestly the food quite good but the service and the sitting area is not helpful at all and who makes it worse more is the staff. I don’t recommend at all to visit them until they have a new staff that can deal with customers. By the way there were also two families like me also being disappointed even they raised their concerns but no one tried to help !!! The outside sitting area is available and they don’t want to serve anybody while no rain at all even all of us told them it is under our responsibility if the food is not fresh. One more point, inside table is hot and they don’t want to open at least the door to let us breathe well, really very very very strange people working at this place

   What a great experience. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and we couldn't fault a thing. We were celebrting 2 birthdays and it was the perfect location.

    The food was excellent and our server was completely charming. The dining room was very quiet so great if you want a peaceful lunch watching the river but we are three noisy ladies so we were a bit put off by the tranquillity!
