The service was great. Very quick and polite. It was our anniversary, and the servers were very kind. The food, not so good. We had the appetizer for 2. The sushi was not fresh. The ribs tasted good but had lots of fat. The only food I would give 5 stars is the lava cake. Although service was super, I doubt I’d eat here again.

The service was very slow. The restaurant was busy when we checked in due to a concert happening that evening. However, people cleared out as we were seated but food service was very slow.

Missed the mark this Morher's Day. We had a reservation for Roy's at 545pm. We were running a little late so we called and they told us no problem. Made this reservation over 2 weeks ago. When we arrive the hostess tells us it is a going to be 15 to 20 minutes before they can seat us. No problem. 18 minutes go by and our table is ready. I go to catch up with my family and they literally have us sitting in the walkway of the restaurant. It would have been the perfect place if I needed to eat and run or dine and dash as we were so close to the elevator and stairs. Keep in mind it was Mothers Day and there was a concert at the Shell. It would have been ok but every time someone walked by I felt the air of them passing. Also I have a phobia of people walking up behind me so this didn't help. We did ask to be moved but I still had my back against where people were walking. It was Mother's Day so just enjoy it. The food was ok and taking longer than normal. The service was ok. I usually base my server on how often my water glass is left empty. Took 30 minutes to get a refill on water. Our server was running all over the restaurant. I felt really bad for her. Over 600 dollars for ok food and horrible seating is unacceptable. $84 for a an appetizer with 4 shrimp, almost 1/4 pound lobster tail cut in half, some ok poke. The star of the night was the crab in the appetizer and the lava cake at the end. Everything else was subpar. Never will I eat at Roy's for a special occasion.

We had reservations at 5:45 PM in order to make James Taylor concert at the shell. We were seated at 6:00PM and given water by a bus boy. Our waiter never came to our table. We asked the bus boy if we had a waiter and he said he would find out. No one showed up. We flagged another waitress down asking if we had a waiter and she said she would check to see who it was. She returned to say it was Chris but didn't know where he was and that she would take our order to expedite things since so much time had past. It was now 6:20 PM. She said she would put our whole order immediately and bring it all out at once to save time. At 6:40 PM she told us there were 6 orders ahead of us and our food would not even be started to cook until after 7:00 PM. She brought the manager to see if they could move us up in the line, since no one waited on us for so long. but were told no they couldn't. So we left to go to the concert without dinner. After our complaining, the manager finally comped our $18 MaiTai and diet coke. We were supposed to have a 20% off dinner which was included in the hotel package we paid $400 for to spend the night after the concert.

We arrived at 5pm. Were sat at 5:15. We ordered immediately. The food came at 6:30pm. It was very late and we had a concert to attend. We had to cancel the dessert. Then the check came but not split. We did not leave until 7pm. This was unacceptable. No refill on drinks. No bread until 6:30pm. We were being waited by the manager. It was very poor service!

It was very busy for Mother's Day; they did not appear to be properly staffed to handle the masses. The kitchen was backed up and the servers were constantly apologizing. I understand the demand for a holiday, especially since they were not accepting walk-ins, so staff accordingly. Roy's is one of our favorite places; this was disappointing.

Because it was Mother’s Day, the restaurant was extremely busy and service suffered a bit.

Mother’s Day…. Reservation at 1:30, busser drops off water and gets the wife a coffee at like 1:45, no biggie. Seems to be confusion about who is supposed to serve our table maybe 10-15 mins later let’s say 1:55ish, server comes by grabs drink orders and we throw the kids food in. Eggs, bacon, and untoasted English muffin for my son and French toast for my daughter, both off the brunch menu. Drinks come quick…. Server takes our order (my mom, wife, and myself). Been about 30 mins and both kids are bouncing off the walls so I take them outside to run around and enjoy the view of the marina. Now I’ve been outside for almost an hour, kids food still hasn’t come. We go back inside it’s like 2:45ish. Wife asks a manager what’s going on with the kids food. She comes back about 10-15 mins later and says I’m sorry but it’s still going to be a while. Now’s it’s just after 3pm and we never got any food except for some bread that my wife asked for about an hour in, so we leave. Drop the waiter a $20 and are not paying for the drinks. Insane experience and we were not the only ones, there were several tables that waited 2+ hours for food. Not recommended

Went there for Mother’s Day 6 of us, sat there for almost 3 hours and got no food - got a sushi roll and bread after 2 hours but nothing else ever came. Cocktails were the worst I’ve ever had - for a place charging an average of $70 a plate it was the worse experience ever - will never go back Sally’s down the way is much nicer
