Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 142 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

    My husband and I were celebrating both Valentine’s Day and we our 3-year anniversary. We started our evening with a bottle of red wine and the delicious spicy shrimp appetizer, per our server’s suggestion. Our fillets were cooked to perfection. To accompany our entree, we shared two side dishes, the loaded baked potato and the creamed spinach-yum. And ended our meal with the sinfully delicious cheesecake. The service was outstanding- thank you Henry we had a memorable evening. The long stem red rose was a nice touch!

    Ruth Chris is one of my favorite places to visit for lunch or dinner. My wife and I was celebrating Valentine's Day and the ambience, our server and our meals were absolutely delicious. I was so glad I made reservations and it definitely paid off because we were seated immediately upon our arrival. Our steaks come out sizzling hot and tasty, along with our side dishes. Ruth Chris is a great place to take a date or your family on any occasion.

    Wonderful service and the food was fantastic. This being said, I get steak not infrequently and $85 for a cowboy ribeye is absolutely absurd. Their pricing has gone through the roof and a $300+ bill is absurd considering what we ordered.

    The food was excellent as always. All the staff was very nice. Our server was very attentive in the beginning, but then we didn't see him for a while which I noticed when I wanted a refill on my iced tea. I ended up asking another staff member for the refill. At the end, the server was very attentive again. All in all a great experience.
