The service was excellent, the food was lukewarm, the music was too loud, but all in all it was an enjoyable meal but for a hungry man there wasn't enough. It would be nice to have a meal served with a salad and bread in the price included rather than to have to order separate bread and separate salad which could be accomplished by raising the price of the meal to accommodate this need. It is very elegant food, elegantly presented.

The LaChona brand was born out of a love for sharing incredible wine with close friends and family. Ask any Argentinian what their favorite pastime is and they will likely say “asado con familia”, or grilling with the family. Slow-cooked lechon, fire-kissed chorizo, and hand-crafted empanadas born of generational influences and traditions are all paired with the perfect Malbec, Cabernet Franc, or Semillon every Sunday. After 14-plus years, St. Jack has become an iconic staple of the PDX dining scene, in the wonderfully walkable "Slabtown" neighborhood of NW Portland. Chef and restaurateur Aaron Barnett's unique menu features rustic dishes from the countryside of Lyon - the heart and soul of French cooking.

We are excited to offer full service inside, as well as outside on our sidewalk tables (weather permitting). We also allow walk-up guests as space allows - Fridays and Saturdays it is highly recommended to make reservations.

Stanford's is one of my favorite Portland restaurants. They have a great menu with lots of choices, and the food is always delicious. The service has always been great as well. Whether going out for a nice dinner or dropping in at Happy Hour, going to Stanford's has always been an enjoyable experience.

Mushrooms are the heart of what we do at the Joel Palmer House. We have always endeavored to obtain seasonal and local ingredients and we use many locally produced greens, herbs, and vegetables, some of which come from our own culinary garden. We are frequently inspired by ingredients found in the cuisines of France, China, Thailand, Poland and India, so we call our cooking "freestyle." Our dishes pair well the celebrated wines of Oregon, especially Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Our extensive, Oregon-focused wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Of special note, The Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oregon Historic Register. Built in 1857, the house is Dayton's oldest standing structure. When weather permits, guests can enjoy their dinner on our outdoor patio, soaking in the last rays of sunshine in the heart of Oregon Wine Country.
