Bit of a wait even with a reservation, but service, and food were exceptional! Also appreciated the history on the restaurant and the managers checking in on us. The team I brought wanted to return again the following day. Great food!

Great evening, I brought my husband for the first time on my work trip and he enjoyed every minute of the evening! Bartenders were EXCELLENT AND BRITTANY OUR SERVER WAS AMAZING. She remembered me from previous visits and is attentive and engaging. Thanks so much!!!

Celebration of a birthday party of 6 first timers, our hostess was very informative and explained and recommended many dishes and wines. Overall experience was amazing! Food was fresh made from scratch and hot. Everything full of flavor! Will definitely go back again. Average price per person is 50-100$ that’s meal and drinks

This place is super nice. Modern decor with great ambiance. This was my 3rd time there and they provided a consistent level of service. Appetizers were top notch and steaks were perfectly cooked. I will be back again.

The ambience and service was perfect. The food wasn't fantastic and in my honest opinion it felt that the choices they had were rather few for the hefty price they charge.

We were celebrating our son and daughter-in-law's wedding anniversary. We were surrounded by Christmas partiers so the noise level seemed unusually high. Our daughter-in-law commented that she simply couldn't hear enough to feel part of the party. However, our server Chris did a wonderfully attentive job and the food was delicious.

Great atmosphere for a nice dinner. We really enjoyed this restaurant and then we noticed that it's part of the same group as another restaurant we found in the area and liked very much. This restaurant group is worth visiting. Food, and service are definitely above par. It's nice to visit an establishment that obviously spends time training their servers how to properly serve; it's noticeable and very much appreciated. Keep up the good work, we'll be visiting both restaurants again while we're in the area. Our server Jaymes was engaging and efficient. Bravo Il Forno!

About the restaurant
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 7 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and across the valley and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.

My wife and I enjoyed Liam’s. We started with the cooked Oyster sample plate of 9 (3 oysters Rockefeller, 3 oysters garlic parmesan, and 3 oysters chipotle). The oysters were excellent. They also brought out some garlic bread which was very good and quite handy to sop up some of the sauce left in the oyster shells. For our main courses, my wife had the Mussette Snapper and I had the Mahi Mahi Ixtapa. We both enjoyed our dishes. The serving size of the dinners, which included rice and broccoli, was quite ample. Unfortunately, we had no room left to try their Chocolate Bomb dessert which another table ordered and which, with the finishing touches made at the table, looked spectacular. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. For a restaurant that deals in both beef and seafood, I found the wine list to be somewhat biased towards red wines and a little light on white wines. They did have a Vinho Verde from Portugal which was good and reasonably priced. We could have asked for a table next to the window overlooking the Laguna Madre but didn’t since the weather was not cooperating to provide a clear evening view. Overall, a very pleasant dinner and worthy of a return visit.
