On a cold winters day it’s truly wonderful to walk in to a cosy country pub for the most delicious lunchtime meal. Friendly staff, quietly busy with other guests enjoying life. The choice of food on the menu was not only extensive with something for everyone but value for money which made our experience even more enjoyable.

Second visit to Vassu and was equally impressed, all aspects of the visit were excellent. We went for the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Every course was very different and super tasty. We left feeling full but not overly so, it’s a little on the pricey side, so not a regular but that being said we can’t wait for the next visit!

This was my first visit to The Grange. I chose the special fish dish of the day. I was a bit apprehensive when a whole plaice appeared accompanied by mussels in a white wine sauce. However, it did not disappoint- it will remain as top on my list of fish dishes. It was truly mouth watering, full of flavour and cooked perfectly! The service could not be faulted - staff are polite and the atmosphere was one of calm.
