Our 16th century Public House is situated on Lime Street in the parish of Eldersfield near Gloucester.

The Butchers Arms is first and foremost a rural pub, where the bar is the hub of life, with low ceilings, wooden floors, roaring fires and real ale served straight from the cask.

The food is British and we source only the finest ingredients from local suppliers. The menu constantly changes according to what is in season.

Please note that as it is a small pub and we are unable to cater for children under the age of 10.

I’d like to say that our meal was absolutely exceptional, from the presentation to the taste. We had a fabulous evening and the young waitress was absolutely lovely. Will definitely return as soon as possible.

We're popular with walkers and cyclists alike, and our garden with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in the sunshine. When the weather is a little less bright, step inside and cosy up by our roaring fire.

Our menus are based around the changing seasons, local produce and championing British farmers, including wholesome plates and decadent desserts. When our kitchen is not open, the front of house team are available for bar service, offering a variety of drinks, including wine, bubbles, spirits and cocktails as well as locally produced ciders, ales, largers and IPAs. A pre Christmas lunch with friends - Abberley was a half way point for us! The Manor Arms did us proud - the food was delicious - one of the best meals we have had in the area for a long time and they dog was welcomed as well!

We are a family friendly Pub that also offers dining, sourcing local fresh produce wherever we can. Excellent service, excellent food…. Only thing I would say is the lady singing was very good - great voice but it was so loud we were unable to hold a conversation so left earlier than we’d hoped so that we could talk to each other!

Excellent service friendly staff. Food was exceptional especially the fish and chips it was so fresh and the batter was lovely and light along with a variety of sauces and homemade chunk chips. The seating area was Warm and cosy next to the log fire. We got to speak to the owner who is also the chef. Such a delight cannot thank you enough we will be back!

Regularly visit Crown and Sandys, Ombersley. Never had a bad meal. Great, friendly, professional staff. Tasty food, lots of choices , good ales and wines. Ample car parking. Been to several events eg Weddings, christening, wakes and birthday celebrations always a memorable experience. Keep up the good work.

Head Chef, Edward Marsh and his team of talented chefs work tirelessly to create mouth-watering menus that are English at their core and stay true to location, whilst remaining innovative and modern.

Menus feature fresh local produce from the neighbouring Vale of Evesham, affectionately known as the market garden of England. Fresh herbs are grown in the Manor’s own grounds and, as you would expect in a house of this heritage, there is a magnificent wine cellar.

The meal was excellent and good value. My slight reservations were that I had to keep reminding them I was gluten intolerant. They got it in the end but I had disclosed this when making the reservation. I had also told them in advance that it was my wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. There was no acknowledgment of this, don’t expect much, but even a congratulation would have been nice.

The Ivy makes the best curries in the area and well worth a visit on Monday or Tuesday for curry nights. Friendly and efficient service from the staff.
