We offer you freshest Sashimi, Sushi and various chef Specials in Japanese cuisine along with selected Sake, Shochu and wines to complete your meal. Izakaya Matsuri is located in the center of town- on Young St. with lots of free parking for our customers.

Took 13 people last minute. Very nice upstairs area. Great food. Service was a little overwhelmed but still amazing given how short staffed they were. Highly recommend. Very good food, good times.

Really nice meal. Tried the Lamb Ragu Pappardelle and was very happy with it. My father-in-law had the miso glazed pork chop and he was really, really happy with it. He liked it so much he gnawed off the bone to finish it off. A choice we made to avoid the cold temperature for inside dining, we did ask to sit outside and had to listen to the buses and Harleys. BUt was better than the cold insdie.

Nice location. Service seemed way too high strung for how slow they were but we had a big group and they did their best to accommodate. Ambiance and food is just incredible

Their soba and tempura were EXCELLENT. We enjoyed the yuzu ice tea a lot, too bad there is no complimentary refills. The rice in their donburi is NOT good though. I got their spicy tuna don and my cousin got the ahi power bowl. We would have enjoyed these had the rice been good. But their sobas were delicious! I went back the following day for their sobas.

The service was very good and they had a unique but short menu. The setting is a kind of funky Kailua.
