This place is the real deal. It felt like we were eating at a sushi counter in Tokyo. The omakase menu was an excellent tour of fish from around the world of the highest quality.

Excellent overall. We (table for two) chose the large sashimi set, which was tailored to our preferences (no octopus, thanks). Lovely, tasty, reasonable sized slices of sashimi, well presented, served in good time with the usual soy and wasabi condiments. We followed up with two plates of gyozo - four pieces on each plate, one set chicken, one vegetable, served with a vinegary sauce, delicious and altogether very satisfying. All food on display and the japanese chef/artist allowed me a satisfyingly stern bow on my departure. Prices are unsurprisingly very central London, if you are on a budget you might want to avoid the carafe of hot sake, but otherwise dont let that stop you from visiting.

It’s been a long time since I’ve thought of describing a place as outstanding but this was just that!! I was savoring the sensation of such flavorful and silky textures for a few days after. The chef tasting menu is phenomenal! Chef always crafts the perfect dishes. The handrolls are 10/10 and I recommend the tuna tartare appetizers. The food is always extremely fresh, the atmosphere is always warm and lively and the staff are very attentive and inviting. One of the best restaurants in London

Casual Japanese BBQ where you can order a selection of meat/seafood/Vegetables and grill it yourself!

We use smokeless table grills with smoke extractor which keeps the strong smell of the BBQ off your clothes! Also, the air is circulated by the extractor, it helps to have clean air.

We are welcoming all kinds of parties from single customers to group up to 25. As well as our BBQ menu, we have prepared a variety of starters to start off your experience. Visa and Master Card is available.

About the restaurant

The cuisine served at the restaurant is traditional "kaiseki" cuisine prepared by chef Daisuke Hayashi. He has been trained at "Kikunoi" and his proven cooking techniques have been appreciated by many customers. His cuisine is based on dashi and the flavors of the seasonal ingredients themselves.

The interior had been made in Kyoto and shipped to London to be assembled by the craftsmen from Nakamura Sotoji Komuten, one of the world's leading experts in the Sukiya style.

This project started with a desire to follow in the footsteps of our predecessors and to spread the still developing category of Japanese food culture, kaiseki, to the world.

We had a magical evening and felt like we'd spent an evening in Japan. The food was delicious and the service amazing. We can't wait to come back and try the seasonal menu later in the year. One of our all time favourite meals!
