Restaurants in Alsace traditionally have a formal main dining room as well as a casual dining room known locally as a weinstube or brasserie. At the brasserie, diners may enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. These friendly establishments are immensely popular with Alsatians and visiting them is always the best part of my trips back to Alsace. I opened Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez François to bring the tastes and comforts of the Alsatian brasserie to Great Falls.

Chef Javier's specials reflect a modern approach to seasonal produce, seafood and game with favorites like baked oysters, Dover sole and our speciality, housemate Boudin Blanc. La Chaumière has won the 100 Best Restaurants award 29 times since 1978! We will be serving Al fresco as soon as the weather permits, please reserve, outdoor space is limited. My boyfriend and I came to L’Auberge to celebrate his birthday and graduation from his masters program, and we felt in every way celebrated through the service and the food quality and the overall congratulations given to us during our time there. A wonderful experience I would recommend to anyone for a special occasion or just to spice up a date night!

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary there last night. We met on a blind date there fourteen years ago. We no longer live in the area but happened to be back for the holidays. So we returned to Cage Renaissance with fond memories. We were thrilled to confirm that Cafe remains the wonderfully beautiful, romantic, great food and service restaurant we remembered. Northern Virginia is very fortunate to have such a perfect place to dine.

The new concept for a French Bistro is working very well! The food is amazing, with many old favorites and some great new dishes - try them all! (For those who don't know, this used to be Russia House, and it continues to be owned and operated by the same exquisite Russia House hosts.) Visit once, you'll be hooked. Visit again, and you'll feel like you're being welcomed into their home.
