Service was great, beet salad was enjoyed and the entree short rib was amazing. Subbed out the cheese mashed potatoes for crispy fingerling potatoes- great.

It’s a beautiful restaurant inside and the service was great! We had a part of 6 and 3 people lived their food but 2 thought was ‘ok’ due to being bland and 1 didn’t eat much due to the steak tacos being very dry and hard to chew. I would say these people are easy to please so I was surprised this place wasn’t a hit based on other reviews. My husband and my food was delicious so I wonder if it was just an off night for some dishes which happens. Another funny thing was that the hotel was playing Mad Max on the big screen right outside the restaurant which was a word contrast. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The drinks were also okay but a little watered down. We went to 6 restaurants while in Sedona (Broome and Orchard, Mole, René at T(long word), etc and would rank this as the least favorite. But I think if you’re with a group of friends and want a mid-priced restaurant that’s more relaxed and less bougie, this place is great! 😊

They should remove 10:15 am reservation options if they are going to close the kitchen at 10:30 am. I even called ahead to make sure we wouldn’t be rushed and we were still rushed to order. It was just overall a very disappointing service. Food was pretty good but not worth it. Such a beautiful spot; it’s a shame that the vibe was so off.

We stayed at the resort and had dinner one night. There were parts of the resort that could use some attention and the SaltRock restaurant was one of them. The outdoor dining wasn’t very clean, the water feature was foggy, dirty with mold, same for the pool and spa. A boutique hotel in Sedona that sits on Oak Creek and isn’t cheap should have been pretty spotless and what looked like easy maintenance, handled.

Alejandro is a dream! The view is spectacular. And I have not mentioned the margarita’s! Drive for valet parking if you are unable to walk up & down a steep incline. Don’t miss this one!
