One of the best experiences we have had as a couple in a long time. Food was great but the pace, setting and service was 10/10 and meant that we had a real treat!

It was an exquisite fine dining experience. Presentation was superb and each course was an amazing surprise. I was with my mum so tried hers as well as eating mine and every piece of food was mouthwatering from the starters to the main course and dessert, I mean even the vegetable sides like the cabbage were delicious! The meat (I had rib beef and my mum the venison) was very tender, all sauces were so flavoursome but subtle rather than strong tasting, just flawless really. My chocolate dessert was luscious yet not too rich, my mum had the banana soufflé which she said was a soufflé like no other. Truly fine dining and excellent service also!

Our visit to Sika was the perfect balance of 5 star food, service and family friendly ambiance. This was our nine year old son’s first visit to a fine dining venue…his initial trepidation was overcome by the warmth and accommodating approach taken by the waiting staff. As a result we all three thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Worth particular mention were the Brie and scallop starters, the wagyu beef main and the Valrhona chocolate pudding.

The Sika restaurant is in a lovely space. So lovely in fact that the same space is also used for breakfast and lunch. It is the perfect room for breakfast. The view and the sun streaming in puts everyone in a good mood to start their day. Should a fine dining restaurant not be located in a special space to enhance the anticipation and the feeling of exclusivity of fine dining in a luxurious space? Onto the food. Both of us opted for the Roasted Quail, with smokey egg yolk and confit leg. Yum, we very much enjoyed our starters. The egg yolk needed just a touch more smokiness, but was delicious nonetheless. Again, both of us selected the venison as our main course. Chef certainly knows how to cook protein perfectly. We asked for medium rare, and it was on point. The venison was delicious and oh-so tender. The wine list had a good variety of French reds but could benefit from a wider selection of quality French white wines. Think Rhone more than Burgundy. The service at Sika started out perfectly, with Naveen managing our drinks, wine and food selections very professionally. He even asked if we would like our starters to be served a bit later and we said, yes please. Good observation of the dinners! We very much appreciated our extra time to chat over drinks. Once the starters were served, service fell apart. From that point on, all service at our table was completed by a different staff member. The removal of our starter plates and then the service of our mains was haphazardly done. The server, regardless of who it was, would reach across both of us to remove plates or pour some wine for us. The mains were simply plopped on the table by someone standing between the two of us. The fine dining experience was diminished. The end was sad, but we could only laugh when the server who removed the empty 90€ red wine bottle said, “Would you like another?’

I believe her named was Donnelly, she served me for dinner and to my surprise was there for breakfast as well. She was bright eyed and wonderful yet again! Having been here only a few months I was amazed at her knowledge and ease at which she glides through the dining room. The food on both occasions was heaven in each bite. The beef was cooked perfectly. A very creative fall menu. Thank you to the people who work hard to create such a memorable experience.

Our experience was very good. We were a party of five. Three of us had beef, one chicken and one fish. All were extremely satisfied. Our waitress was excellent. The ambiance was so good here in this beautiful restaurant. The desserts were very good as well. Bananas souffles for four, custard tart for one. Thank you all
