Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar is situated in a 150 year old Seagram’s building, minutes west of the Waterloo Uptown Core. The interior soars two stories high to a timber frame ceiling, exposed brick and generous wood finishes, set the tone for an elegant yet casual experience.

The menu will transport your palate to a bistro somewhere in Europe. Items ranging from fresh-baked pizzas, pastas, vegetarian entrées, steaks, and seafood will satisfy any appetite. An extensive award winning wine list, great selection of Scotch, local and imported beers on tap complement the experience. Service is professional yet friendly.     I was nervous because the Charcoal Group took this over. I'm not a fan. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Great food, excellent service. This restaurant had an overhaul and the aesthetics are beautiful. It felt like we were in Europe. We will be back.

    Everything was great...couldn't be better. First time there since sitting outside on a the patio last summer. Sole is now our favourite restaurant.

    Food was more affordable than expected given quality. Although Sole is certainly an upscale restaurant price-wise, I was expecting small portions for large prices. However, given portion size and quality (probably some of the best food I’ve eaten in Waterloo), the food price was exceptionally reasonable. The service was absolutely phenomenal as well, and ambience was “fancy” as expected. Would highly recommend for a fancy date or an important business meal.

    I went for brunch with a friend. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food which was divine and cooked to our liking. I highly recommend this restaurant which has yet to disappoint me or my friends.

    Food is very good at sole. The noise level is way too much. Without any soft scaping to absorb noise, people have to raise their voices to have a conversation. Not enjoyable and for business purposes, it doesn’t work. Also the choice of music seems to feel like it’s chosen to hurry diners through their meals. Found the same thing at other charcoal group restaurants, it’s too bad because we love the food.
